Restaurant Shalimar stands as one of Sherbrooke's top Indian dining establishments. Its inception in 1990 can be credited to Mrs. Uma Nigam, who, with the assistance of her son Jyoti Nigam, embarked on this culinary journey. Throughout the years, Shalimar has adeptly adjusted and enhanced its cuisine to cater to the evolving preferences of its patrons, especially those inclined towards vegetarian and vegan options. This fine-dining Indian restaurant provides a warm and inviting ambiance while serving a delectable array of Indian dishes, including various vegan choices. Their core objectives have consistently revolved around preserving the freshness of their culinary offerings and staying true to the authenticity of the original recipes. When the summer season arrives, you can relish the knowledge that the vegetables and spices featured in your dishes are organically cultivated in their garden before gracing your table. The restaurant prides itself on offering lean-cut meat options and a diverse vegetarian menu inspired by various regions.

RESTAURANT SHALIMAR REVIEWS
I went with family for a dinner with no reservation, which i shouldn’t have done, and the place was packed but they kindly offered to assist after a couple mentioned they were leaving shortly. Food wise, i bet anyone can get decent food wherever, but this place offers the best service in my perspective, with authentic Indian cuisine served in authentic dishes. and even though we were there during the covid thing with no buffet available whatsoever, we found the menu to be decent, an almost all inclusive for a fixed price, which i found to be pretty decent. This place is definitely worth a detour and i will for sure go back again.
Favourite place in Sherbrooke to have northern style India cuisine. The food here reminds me of some of the dishes I had while travelling in India. They have buffet style certain nights, a la carte, or take-out. There are also some items not on the menu but that you can ask for, like paneer. You can find the information on their website or just give them a call. Reservations are recommended, they book up fast and space is limited.
The restaurant offers delicious Indian cuisine and beverages, and the staff is exceptionally welcoming and friendly.

MASALA CAFÉ SHERBROOKE REVIEWS
I've visited this restaurant three times with friends and family. It has a warm atmosphere and the staff have always been very open and kind. The restaurant offers a unique concept - a personalized thali or platter combining various dishes to create a whole meal. You get to build your own meal and try a variety of dishes. It's important to understand this concept BEFORE visiting the restaurant to avoid disappointment (not an à-la-carte menu). This is clearly explained on their Web site, though the site is only in French. A delicious culinary experience from beginning to end. You can bring your own wine and the restaurant offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
Very good food, the cauliflower pakora and butter chicken are stars. Not like the ones you in Montreal but very good with rich flavors . Very good service.
The service is very heartfelt. Coming from India the ambience brings smile on our faces and brings back a lot of memories. Ordered a vada pav and totally relished it.
