“Haney House Museum was constructed by pioneer Thomas Haney for his wife, Anne, and family. A farm kitchen, family portraits, and furnishings in the parlour and dining room highlight the main floor. Upstairs is a fully furnished master bedroom, a little girl’s room, a priest’s room and a bathroom. The Heritage Walk runs through part of the garden behind Haney House Museum and the remains of the orchard. Since 1883, the historical landmark has undergone surprising modifications. The grounds of Haney House Museum are a municipal park and are free for photography. In 1981, the building was opened to the public for regular tours.

2025 Update: The house is completely furnished and decorated entirely with Haney family treasures and keepsakes over the 100 years as a happy family home. Haney House Museum hosts events for culture days, Halloween, and spring break, as well as programs including murder mystery nights and afternoon tea on the veranda.”

“Maple Ridge Public Library is very spacious, with several rooms available for public events. There is an online catalogue where you can place books on hold and be notified when they are ready for pickup. A small kids' playground is available on the second floor. An excellent staff team is there to guide you, and they have a fantastic selection of DVDs and books. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for their communities through knowledge, ideas, and experiences.

2025 Update: The library provides free Wi-Fi that has accessible parking, accessible restrooms, and wheelchair accessible computer station.”

“Maple Ridge Cemetery has developed into a more conventional cemetery where virtually all Maple Ridge burials occur. Maple Ridge Cemetery was established in 1878 on land donated by two pioneers, William Nelson and George Howison. The Cemetery is divided into sections, lots, blocks, and grave numbers. A cemetery map is posted inside the cemetery entry. The cemetery clerk can search to verify if a person is buried there and provide the plot location and details. Additionally, federal, provincial, and territorial governments recognize the contribution of historical places to their communities.”

HANEY HOUSE MUSEUM REVIEWS

I highly recommend checking out this fantastic piece of Haney history, now present day Maple Ridge. This heritage building has been restored to its past slender & is very well set up for viewing. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have.

Such a cool old heritage home, full of history & I love how everything here is passed down through the family so it is original pieces of history that belonged to them, the kitchen is a little more modern as they host tea time lunches and such so they do need a functioning kitchen but it as well still has a lot of original pieces in it. Thank you to Allison my guide today, a wealth of information, keep up the good work girl!

Great experience looking at the trains for my 7 yr old and 3 yr old. The attention to detail is amazing and wife and I liked it as well.

MAPLE RIDGE PUBLIC LIBRARY REVIEWS

Great public library part of the Frazer Valley Regional Library system. Lots of kids books and services, meeting rooms, study areas and computers to use. Really expensive community programs for kids to seniors and everyone in between. Modern and up-to-date space on two levels. Really a nice place to stop and read a book.

The library has a good collection of fiction and non-fiction books. The staff are always friendly, helpful and welcoming to newcomers, providing valuable resources to connect people with the community.

Enjoy a space of calmness and peacefulness that the Greek scribes experienced while recording the victories of Alexander the Great.

MAPLE RIDGE CEMETERY REVIEWS

Beautiful place to come even if it's just to go for a walk, it's just off a busy road but so nice & quiet. I passed many people who come to do walks through, there is benches to sit on & garbage cans throughout. Great history here & how it was added onto so first part is the original cemetery & the original trees are breathtaking.

I'd like to Thank anyone even related persay because karren never knew her mom after two years old,I would appreciate all the seniors and families for their help.
