"Academy of Music is owned and operated by the Parker family. Academy of Music has been teaching Milton families for more than 40 years, and they now teach the children of former students. They offer private lessons in piano, guitar, drums, bass, ukulele, and voice for kids, teens, and adults, with a team of 32 teachers and more than 600 students. Every lesson follows the Academy Method, their own graded curriculum, developed and refined over more than 40 years. Their teachers receive extensive pedagogy training and are trained to teach kids and teens, and about 30% of them started as Academy students.
2026 Highlights: Academy of Music Rock Bands, choirs, and Piano Band add friendships and real stage experience at community events and festivals. Every new student begins with a Free Evaluation: a real first lesson plus a tour of the school, where they get to know your family, choose the right starting point and books, and match your child with the right teacher. Their youngest musicians can start piano at age 4 with their First Piano.
