“Dr. Mike Cobean graduated with honours from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1998 and received the Corning Low Vision Award for his expertise in low vision care. He gained extensive experience during internships at the Faust Gelvin Eye Institute and the Vision Institute of Canada, working with specialists in cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal issues. Dr. Cobean is certified by the American Board of Examiners in Optometry for treating and managing eye diseases. He started his career at the North Bay Eye Clinic, working alongside ophthalmologists in primary and therapeutic eye care, including pre-and post-operative care. Dr. Cobean now practices privately at Lakeshore Drive in North Bay, focusing on eye diseases, cataract and refractive surgery, diabetic eye disease, and contact lenses. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, the Ontario Association of Optometrists, and the College of Optometrists of Ontario, where he served on the Council from 2001 to 2009. Currently, he is practicing at Eye Associates of North Bay.”
