“Dr. Jim Ng Cheong Tin received his undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo, majoring in Honours Science (BSc). He earned his Doctor of Optometry (OD) and Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Vision Sciences from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. He focused on primary eye care, binocular vision, and children's eye health during his studies. He was president of the Students of Optometry Servicing Humanity (SOSH) chapter at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Ng Cheong Tin gained practical experience at various locations, including the Indian Health Services Hospital in Bethel, Alaska, the US Army Base Hospital in Wuerzberg, Germany, and The Eye Institute in Philadelphia. Currently, he practices at Kawartha Lakes Optometry. The clinic is committed to serving the community with high-quality vision care, utilizing the most advanced technology. The office is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Jim made time to see me on a late Friday afternoon after I scratched my cornea, and helped me to a full recovery. I had sent my husband to another optometrist in town a few months earlier and two glasses she prescribed him didn't work. My husband then came to see Dr. Jim who expertly and thoroughly helped diagnose and prescribe the proper corrective lenses. The doctor is very knowledgeable, experienced and friendly, I highly recommend this office.

Great Service from Dr. Jim. He’s been my eye doc for years. Friendly and very thorough. He helped me with my headaches as they were eye strain. Our whole family even the kiddos get their eyes checked here and we live an hour away. Highly recommend booking an appointment and there’s a small selection of eyewear as well at his office.

I had a wonderful experience with all staff members. We booked appointments not only for ourselves but for my inlaws from overseas and we were all very impressed with the expertise and level of care shown to us. I would not hesitate to recommend an eye exam and we will continue to return as loyal customers to this friendly office.

I brought my 4 year old son for his first eye appointment. We had such a great experience. We felt welcomed when we walked in. The first 2 clinicians who did the diagnostic tests were so kind and bubbly and made my son feel comfortable. They made it fun for him too! He did great in the big chair and Dr. Chow was very sweet & made it fun with the video they played and doing letters & numbers together. He got to choose a toy from the treasure chest. He is actually excited to go back next year!.

Great service!! I got something in my eye the night before, and they squeezed me in for a time slot on a Saturday after short notice. Rectified the issue, and I was very happy with the outcome. Would definitely come back again, and will definitely recommend.

This is the best optometrist office in Peterborough! I highly recommend this office to anyone in need of eye care or glasses! You feel welcome from the moment you walk in and the staff are so knowledgeable and friendly!.

Everyone in the office was lovely and helpful. Dr. Chan did my exam and she was very thorough and answered my many questions in detail. I didn’t feel rushed at all and she was very kind. I’m very happy to have switched over to this office.

I came to peterborough for school and had a lot of worries finding my own optometrist, and all the staff here (especially Dr. Lauren and Amanda) make me really glad I chose Dr. Trevis and Associates! They are very kind, helpful, and accommodating.

What an eye opening experience! Never in my life did I think having an eye exam would be so fun, and educational! Thank you.
