I was in emerg for complications after another dr removed a stent for a Stone. There was still stone present and I was leaving for vacation in 48hrs. Dr Meade came to see me in emerg and explained the risks and put me on a list to try and get me into OR the following day so I didn’t have to cancel my vacation. The staff in the OR and Dr Meade squeezed me into the OR the afternoon before my flight and removed the stone that was left. He also gave me his office number to follow up as no other dr has cared to deal with my constant kidney stone issues. Highly recommend this dr.

had several very painful kidney stones , saw Dr Meade and he took the time to listen to what I had to say, made the necessary tests happen quickly. he explained the surgical procedure in detail and took the time to answer any questions I had. he performed the surgery without a hitch. was out of the hospital in a week pain free and without complications. he is absolutely amazing at what he does, is very knowledgeable, respectful, cares about his patients and will take the time to truly listen to their concerns and answer to the best of his ability. I would go to him again in a heartbeat. I recommend him without reservation. A++++.

Had a kidney stone. Had to be removed by surgery because of size. Office staff arranged appointment quickly. Office very busy but Dr. Meade did see me & arrangements made for surgery. Dr. Meade kind, understanding & knowledgable. Surgery & recovery had no problems -all went well, Recommend Dr. Meade with no hesitation.

DR. MICHAEL JOHN WEIR - KAWARTHA UROLOGY ASSOCIATES REVIEWS

I have high praise for Dr. Weir. I met him in the emergency ward of Peterborough Hospital when I was experiencing significant quantities of blood in my urine. He immediately ordered an ultrasound which was completed on the same morning of my emergency ward visit and provided me with results later on in the morning. He was forthright in advising me that I had small tumor in one kidney. and that by removing the kidney the cancer could be removed. He agreed to my request to have a biopsy completed on the tumor prior to kidney removal. When the biopsy came back positive he completed the kidney removal. Following the operation my haemoglobin level dropped significantly. Rather than order a blood transfusion, Dr Weir advised me he believed me to be in sufficient health to regain adequate haemoglobin levels without adding risk by having a blood transfusion. He did order iron injection to assist the haemoglobin recovery. With the iron injection, my haemoglobin levels recovered. I am grateful to Dr. weir for his caution on ordering a blood transfusion following the operation. I appreciated Dr. Weir's straightforwardness in advising me I had a cancerous tumor and his calm assurances that the tumor could be removed by removing the kidney and that life would go on quite normally following the removal operation. Dr. Weir's straightforwardness provided me with a sense of confidence that helped me get through the stressful time from diagnosis to recovery. I rate him highly.

My son and I have had a great experience with Dr. Weir. He was kind, informative, he explained even more to calm my fears. He did a great job. The incision scare on my Son looks so good, I was impressed. It's funny how some Doctors and Patents have a great rapport, and other don't. I see a mix of good and bad reviews here. I personally loved the receptionist's!! We all had a good laugh over my sons animated behaviour, and the conversation put me at ease to met the Doctor for the first time.. They also were very understanding when I had to reschedule my Son surgery. I am very happy with Dr. Weir and his staff.

Dr Weir operated on my husband for bladder cancer. He was honest, caring, and very helpful. I would highly recommend him.
