2025 Update: Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is the largest community museum in Ontario, with a large feature gallery which showcases local and travelling exhibits from around the world, a temporary gallery, and its permanent gallery which tells the story of Waterloo Region. Located on the second floor of the main museum gallery is the Waterloo Region Hall of Fame. The second floor also contains a War Memorial with a visual list of the names of all those from Waterloo County/Region who have given their lives for their country.”

“Rockway Gardens is famous for its beautiful landscape garden and fountains. Rockway Gardens promotes horticulture and environmental awareness in the Kitchener area. The garden provides a full range of activities for approximately five hundred members, including greenhouse trips, perennial exchanges, and bulb sales. THEMUSEUM REVIEWS

Stopped in to check out THEMUSEUM to see if it's someplace our kids would enjoy at their age groups. Even as adults we were intrigued and had fun. EYEPOOL was very cool. It's a good way to spend a couple hours. We will be bringing the kiddos to check it out next time as there's enough activities to keep them interested. They enjoyed the stuff we brought them from the gift shop and can't wait to go meet the axolotl for themselves.

The museum has lots of activities for family with kids, even adults can be engaged. We really enjoyed new experiences which took us 3 hours. It’s an old building but they kept it clean. Clean washrooms. Small nursery nook. Inside elevator and stairs. So friendly staff. We loved EYEPOOL. Highly recommended.

Came here for a community fundraiser. What a beautiful place to host an event. There are 4 levels to this place with immersive art at the top level. Easy to find. Right on the main street. Parking an issue though.

KEN SEILING WATERLOO REGION MUSEUM REVIEWS

Wonderful place to Visit with friends and family. A beautiful house tour, a lady was so sweet and guided us through the 1800s how people used to live. One of the most interesting part is the Bees section, I have learned a lot of things and I am so happy about it. The front staff is also polite and also he guided us the entire museum. I will surely come back in May ,they mentioned that they are updating a lot of sections , including introducing a new section for artificial intelligence.

I just a great blacksmithing workshop with Sean Stoughton in the historic village. He was very patient with his instruction and demonstrations of technique. This opportunity helped me accomplish much more than I expected. It was a fun way to learn and appreciate this historic craft and how it impacts our region.

The museum shares the history of how the area was founded and it's importance over the years. There is are hockey and war related things on the second floor. They also have rotating exhibits and an outdoor section of historical buildings.

ROCKWAY GARDENS REVIEWS

Rockway Gardens is breathtaking , well managed clean especially in the summer. Nice place for walks. Suitable for small picnics. The place is very quiet, peaceful and calming with a few fountains around. Lots beautiful flowers and parking is easy to find. It is free to visit and there 's street parking nearby. Lovely place Rockway Gardens.

Such a gorgeous place! It's open to the street, so you're not really in an enclosed garden. But it's beautiful nonetheless. There are trees, flowers, fountains, streams, landscaping, structures. If you just walk through the whole area, it'll take you under 30 minutes. If you take your time and appreciate the scenery, you can spend an hour here. There are benches. It's free to visit, and there's street parking nearby.

This area is lovely! Wish I had visited a week ago because then the spring flowers would have been in full bloom, but still a gorgeous little garden area. I was thrilled to see tadpoles in one of the ponds!
