This park reminds me of events that I have attended and enjoyed as well as many other locals and visitors.A long time ago some wise counsel members decided that this area and grounds would be better served s as a park. A trail system runs along Thompson River from the River Land Inn & Suites down passed and across Overlander Bridge, also running along Schubert Drive (North Thompson) to Westmount Elementary.Fantastic Kamloops.I think a bicycle would be a good idea.

Drove out to the lake for Canada Day. It is a nice area with picnic, swimming and boating facilities. It is peaceful and the motor boats seemed to stay away from the public beach which was great. On a past visit I have also hiked the trail that takes you up to a lookout above the lake.
