One of the best seafood meals I've had! Got the five fish experience and it was amazing. All of the seafood was cooked perfectly, so it was juicy, spring with the right amount of bite, juicy, and moist. The risotto as well was insanely good. It was so flavourful and played well with the cheese and the seafood. The whole dining experience was great. The atmosphere was very fancy and the staff was extremely kind and welcoming. Definitely worth a try for the experience and the great food. I feel like the price is really justified! Our friend had some specific vegetarian and alcohol restrictions, and they had an entire menu for vegetarian options if you ask for it. As well, they were very open to doing any modifications if necessary to the meal to meet dietary needs.

Thank you to the staff who made our dinner experience extremely memorable, specifically Laura. She went above and beyond for a displaced giftcard and provided the best service we have ever experienced. Thank you Laura. We highly recommend the food which left us stuffed and hungry for more.

My brother and I wanted to try this during our visit to Halifax and it was the best food we have had during our trip. The service was impeccable, the food sumptuous. We recommend the "Five Fish" main course with some entrees and maybe cocktails to wash it all down. We thank the team and our waiter for the great experience and we will definitely recommend it to anyone passing by Halifax.

Fantastic evening! Great memorable experience with delicious dinner and great service. Oysters must try ( local of Nova Scotia's, Prince Edward Island's, new Brunswick's and Newfoundland's oysters plater) Highly recommend! Reservation recommended.

One of the best experiences in Halifax restaurants. Certainly the best tasting seafood. I had the risotto and my friend had the chef Bryan scallop both were so delicious and gluten free. The atmosphere is charming with real candles and stonewalls. The service staff were so friendly and professional. Julia our waitress was courteous and alert. The menu options seemed somewhat limited and the prices are not cheap. I will visit again for oysters.

This was easily my favorite restaurant that I visited while in the city. We did “The Drill” and each course was absolutely awesome. I will recommend that you should allow a solid two hours if you choose to do that but it’s definitely worth it. The place also has a really cool atmosphere with some interesting history behind it. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

MCKELVIE'S RESTAURANT REVIEWS

This was our favorite restaurant while visiting Halifax. We ended up going 2 nights in a row. The food and service were amazing. We both had the sea food chowder on both nights because it's that good. I had the maple pecan salmon the first evening, and the fish fry the second. We will definitely go back the next time we visit Halifax. The restaurant is also decorated beautifully.

I brought my fiancé here for his birthday dinner because he wanted lobster with butter. And this was the perfect lobster dinner. They even showed us the lobsters in the tank including a crazy 5lb one! Our waitress was amazing and explained how to tackle eating the lobster. Very tasty food and a great choice for the lobster.

Beautiful terrace, friendly staff, and truly delicious food—the lobster pasta was outstanding! Everything we tried was full of flavor. Loved that it’s dog-friendly too. Highly recommend.
