3 Best Steakhouses in Medicine Hat, AB

Went out a birthday dinner at the Keg Medicine Hat. It was a wonderful experience overall. The restaurant was clean and well appointed. We were attended to by very attentive staff who accommodated one diner's gluten and lactose sensitivity. We had the filet mignon, one regular and one with blue cheese. They were delicious and done to our specs. Our waitress was very efficient and attentive without being intrusive. Overall a very good first impression and we would recommend this to friends and we will return in the future. Note we had already ruined the very nice presentation on the plates because we dug in before remembering to take photos.

Our server Taralyn was very professional and had some keen humor. We enjoyed our outing very much. We had our son home for the long weekend, hadn't seen him since Christmas. The food , the service was great. Enjoyed sitting in the lounge. Will never go to The Keg without booking on open table, that was super. Thank you all very much.

This place is top dollar and worth every cent. The service was impeccable with our server very in tune with our needs. Other servers also kept an eye on each other's tables, ensuring no empty glasses and no dirty plates. Our meal progressed flawlessly from drinks to appetizer to main course. We were neither rushed, nor did we wait. Our dishes were skillfully prepared and plated. Hot food was hot, cold food was cold. It was an anniversary celebration for us and we are pleased to have spent our special date at the Beefeater.

First time here and it lived up to the recommendations I received. My server Melynda was very nice and checked back regularly. Being carb free, I was a little disappointed that they would not substitute the potato choices for another vegetable without an upcharge and only offered sliced tomatoes so I paid for the mushrooms which were delicious. Another slight disappointment was they did not have any blue cheese dressing for the salad which I think goes hand in hand with a steakhouse. I went with the Greek feta option which tasted a bit out of the bottle. I ordered the 12 oz Prime Rib and it did not disappoint at all. The au jus was a bit thick and I asked to make sure it wasn't the gravy. The horse radish was very good....very fresh and hot. Some very small disappointments compared to an amazing dining experience and a great Prime Rib. I'll be back...next time I'm in MedHat.

For Medicine Hat, this is a great spot. I had the ribeye which was cooked on a huge flaming grill right in front of us and was done perfectly. Very flavorful with a char you can't get anywhere else. Our server made sure we were happy. I enjoy the white table cloths. We ordered Old Fashioneds and got strange cocktails. We should have read the menu because we were served what was described, only issue is that the restaurant is confused about what an old fashioned should be. This place definitely costs a bit more than others in town, but you pay for what you get. I'd go here before the Keg or other franchise restaurants for sure.
