3 Best Sushi in New Westminster, BC

Kioku Kitchen has incredible dishes It says it’s a Japanese restaurant, but I’d say that it was a fusion of Japanese/korean, which makes it even better. The dishes are so unique, and the flavours touched so many palettes , without being too overwhelming. We ordered the sockeye salmon steak, miso pork udon, and the salmon zuke. For drinks, we had yuzu mist and a matcha strawberry latte. The salmon steak was flavourful, and it came with a dashi broth that you pour in halfway throughout your meal. This was incredibly delicious, and a very hearty meal! Although, there was a lot of rice, so it is quite heavy for one person. The pork udon was creamy, and the pork came in slices and was fatty. It was almost like the pork chashu you’d get in ramen, very tasty! The salmon zuke was also a big portion, and the salmon was great quality. The yuzu mist tasted like a milkis, it was not too sweet and citrusy. The matcha latte was also moderately sweet and super creamy Overall, our experience here was great. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, even when there was a full house. Our food did take a while to come, but it was worth the wait because it was very clear that Kioku Kitchen puts a lot of care and effort into our meals.

Service and food, everything was amazing Seafood salad, salmon oshi, sampler and drinks were so delicious. Best oshi I’ve ever had! Especially it was really hot day today, we enjoyed everything so much. And the server lady brought us knife and folk when we tried to share inari. I will definitely visit sometime soon. Thanks again.

For a casual restaurant this was very impressive. The salmon oshi and truffle mushroom udon is highly recommended. The truffle was very noticeable and mushroom made the flavour more pungent. Everything else was delicious and good quality. Service is so accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I came here and we were both so impressed! The sushi was absolutely amazing – every piece was super fresh and full of flavor, and you can really taste the quality. They also had a great variety of beer and sake that paired perfectly with the food, which made the meal feel extra special. The staff was kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even nicer. We left so satisfied and happy, and we’re already excited to come back again soon!.

We met up with friends for dinner at this restaurant we had seen on social media. We ordered a variety of appetizers, including sashimi, sushi, a dinner combo, and tempura. While everything was delicious, except for the tempura, which was given to us a second time, the coating was too heavy and thick, making it heavy and not light. Otherwise, the food was great, and the staff was fantastic, friendly, and attentive to our drinks.

I visited here with my boyfriend, and we really enjoyed the dishes. I hadn't been able to find a good sushi place in Vancouver, but I think we finally found one! The server was also very kind, so we had a great dinner. I'll definitely be going back.
