We decided to try Sumo Sumo for my birthday dinner and was not disappointed. The patio is a very nice environment, was a bit warm initially but the staff was very helpful & accommodating! Everyone was very pleased with their meals - would recommend checking it out and I’m sure I’ll be back again to try some new menu items.

Been coming to this Sumo Sumo since last 7+ years now. Just truly amazing how consistent they’ve been with food quality and favour profiles and outstanding service every time. We especially love their Volcano rolls, Chicken Karaage, Veg Tempura, Spicy Tuna Tempura Maki and Spider cone. For 4 people and a nice spread of dishes, we usually see ~$150 tab. Pretty decent in these times I’d say.

So tasty and lovely! The patio is a beautiful environment and the restaurant has cute entry doors, bamboo walls & waterfalls etc. The food is delicious and reasonably priced for a sushi bar. I highly recommend any of the boat meals/sharing plates. Staff is great and really helpful. There is plenty of parking available on site, and there is accessible seating in the restaurant (if required). We will definitely be back.

KOBACHI JAPANESE CUISINE REVIEWS

Kobachi is a far drive for us, but totally worth it for the food. Their sashimi and nigiri are slightly more on the pricey side depending on the cut of fish BUT you're paying for high quality fish. Absolutely love their tuna, scallop & sable-fish nigiri. Even their appetizers and maki rolls are yummy. They pay attention to presentation as well so your dish will come out beautifully.

It was my first time at Kobachi and hands down my favourite restaurant in Edmonton! Quality food with attention to detail. Exceptional customer service by the staff. Highly recommend everything on the menu and make sure to check out their specials. What an incredible experience and would definitely visit again. Thank you Kobachi for an incredible dining experience.

I love this place. Worth the drive. Chef respects the fish. No gimmicks. No pocky for the ladies. To me this is comfort food done exceptionally well. Menu is curated nicely. Service is fantastic. Ron is also handsome and loves dogs.

SUSHI 11 REVIEWS

Wow. Small but mighty. The chef was the only person working in the kitchen and he did a marvelous job. Each item we received was perfect in taste and definitely presentation. We were told there would be a slight delay due to the kitchen being busy. We arrived just after 5 and we were finished by 7. So not a long delay. Well worth the short wait.. I will definitely be back.

Little disappointed with the size of the pieces I received. Less than 1/2 inch thick if that. They just fell apart when you try to pick them up as they couldn't hold their shape. Taste and quality was great but the portion size was a let down. Leaving a 5 star review but likely won't order again as it's a bit too expensive for what you get.

Awesome little sushi place in Sherwood Park! Great service & beautiful tasty sushi. Loved the smoked salmon on the Philadelphia rolls, a bit heavier on the cream cheese than I’m used to, but everything tasted great. Would recommend checking out!
