We had the crew of Damian, Jody, Bob and Layton out to our home for the removal of a large pine that was leaning dangerously close to power lines, The team of 4 was respectful, efficient, very safe, neat in clean up and cautious of personal property damage. This is the second time we have used Pineridge for a fallen limb off our Silver Maple. Both times, the communication was prompt, the crew arrived when scheduled and they did a terrific job. When they were done, the limb was gone, some branches trimmed back and all debris and brush were cleaned up. Additionally, the crew were friendly, courteous and dog friendly too. I am not easily impressed, when it comes to the treatment, some so called tree care companies, provide in pruning mature trees. Now before I run away with accolades, I'll provide some background. I have been involved in the horticultural industry since, my high school days over half a century ago. Since then, I have been to the University of Guelph three times, mostly academia in horticulture as well as a landscape design diploma and to numerous horticultural certificates. In my life as a horticulturalist, I have managed tree farms and even had my own niche in the landscape construction industry. On top of that, I have mild OCPD, making me an incurable perfectionist, more so, when managing tree scaffolding and what branches to prune. So, when it comes to pruning the mature maple tree (>60'), I have particular needs. The way I saw the tree recuperating from decades of neglect, required precise pruning. The tree in front of my house, had been chlorotic for years, weakened with perpetual breakage of limbs. It would not have been help full to prune a tree in such decay. Three seasons later, and the tree had recovered enough to proceed with the pruning. I was hesitant and apprehensive on someone else pruning the large maple tree, such that, I had to extricate myself from the scene, and put my trust on the arborist team. Nevertheless, after impatiently waiting to see the results. To say I was elated would be a serious understatement. I was very impressed in how the pruning team, Mike, Dave and Nico, proceeded to remove weakened and dangerous limbs, diminished potential wind effects, yet retained the tree's canopy for vigor, providing better than expected results, better than I would had expected. Furthermore, the team was courteous, professional and proceeded with the work in a safe manner. I have no qualms about recommending this team, to prune your most cherished trees. - Pablo E Reply
