This is a great trail with nice changes in elevation. There are a couple of steep hills on the way back. In any season, members will love the many birds, squirrels and chipmunks that scatter this ecosystem. Overall, this is a very pretty walk along the river. During spring, you should expect much of this route to be flooded or close to flooding, so be prepared by wearing waterproof gear. Make it more challenging by going up and down the sides of the hills and climbing up the steep sides using the roots and trees. Pretty easy, kid friendly. Wonderful Place.
Grew up hiking these trails and pathways. Kilometers of paved, gravel, and mulched trails winding through dense mixed forest. Adjacent to the grand river and doon heritage museum. Squirrels, rabbits, ducks, and lots of active wildlife are to be seen and enjoyed. An absolute treasure!
Beautiful trail along with river area. If you love to explore the nature, this is the right place.
