THE BOATHOUSE REVIEWS

The Boathouse Tea Room is a wonderful place to have High Tea. Located by the river, canoe rentals, park, and the ice cream shop, this historic building is always bustling specially in the warm months. The serving staff was very attentive. We enjoyed that the tables were not too close together. The trays were pretty and very tasty. The china dishes added to the entire charm. There were three of us having the Tea Service on this day. They gave us one tray with a good variety of sweets and sandwiches. The food was absolutely delicious, the quantity served for three people would not leave you feeling full but it was memorable. A bit pricy for what you get here, but we enjoyed the experience and atmosphere of the Tea room.

It was such a treat to enjoy an ice cream by the Speed River on a hot summer Sunday. The Boathouse is perfectly located just off the main road, right beside the canoe rentals, a perfect spot. I ordered the kid-size pistachio ice cream, though honestly, it was so generous it didn’t feel like a kid-size at all! It's definitely worth the $5. The staff were friendly and worked efficiently to keep the line moving. Even if there’s a bit of a wait, it’s easy to enjoy it while taking in the beautiful surroundings. There is a trail and beautiful bridge to enjoy. A must-stop when visiting Guelph on a summer day.

My daughter and I went for lunch here. I ordered a breakfast with a scone, fruit, jam,muesli and some tea. It was delicious- all of it. The presentation was lov too. I neglected to take a pic of my food but it tasted as good as it looked. We sat outside and could watch the river while we ate. It was a gorgeous sunny day. The only thing I could've had more of was some shade. There were available tables inside tho and we could have changed if we'd wanted to.

Red Brick is a Guelph gem. It's a bustling cafe with a diverse crowd. Service is always friendly. Seating is comfortable. Despite how busy it gets, we *almost* always find somewhere to sit. In nicer weather you can sit out front or on the back patio. They have delicious lattes as well as cold drinks like italian soda and alcohol options. They serve breakfast and lunch, and they always have fresh baked goods. Their peach muffins are incredible - highly recommend. Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian options from baked goods to breakfast and lunch (pesto grilled cheese is amazing) Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options and vegan options; non-dairy milk available.

Boyfriend introduced me to Red Brick during my first time visiting Guelph. It’s a cozy coffee shop in downtown Guelph, perfect for a date or catching up with friends. Delicious matcha latte and almond croissant. Great service.

One of the best cafe shops in guelph for catching up with your friends or to do work. they have a lot of space and seatings with nice lighting and warm, cozy vibe. i enjoyed their matcha latte!

I was assisted getting in the door as I arrived. Was seated in a really nice booth right away, I had positive service from Jessica, courses well timed and she checked to be sure I was enjoying my meal, I had good Soup and Chicken Rice bowl, a very tasty way to end a very hot day, good food with good service. Generous portions and a big, quiet atmosphere. Great spot for any occasion. Their open faced breakfast was delicious, which gives me confidence for the rest of their menu. This place also provides some of the best service I've ever had. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Had a great time here with my girlfriend! We had a couple of drinks and shared the truffle fries — everything was perfect. The vibe was chill, and Jessica was really nice and attentive, which made the experience even better. Definitely coming back!
