Vanessa is the sole owner and baker of Maple and Molasses, and responds to inquiries on an as-permissible basis. She offers classic and custom buttercream cakes that are designed and executed with beautiful hand-piped details and delicious flavour. All cakes are prepared fresh to order, and every element is made from scratch, so a minimum of 24 hours to 48 hours notice is required. Orders are prepared in a separate kitchen inside the home that is designated for this business only, and ingredients are stored in airtight containers, with food allergens stored separately. Thus, this small business owner can safely accommodate allergies and intolerances upon request. My husband and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary on Nov 22, and we asked Bootsma Bakery to recreate our wedding cake to share with friends the Sunday before. The cake was sublime : vanilla, with vanilla buttercream. The embellishments were stunning, and the taste was glorious. I can't say enough about Bootsma Bakery. Go there! You will not be disappointed! The owners care deeply about their customers, their staff, and their community. The baked goods are of the highest quality, and we will drive the hour it takes to sample their offerings again. I just hope we can get all the way home without eating everything we buy!!

Our first time in here. It is packed with amazing baking and yummy smells. The person who helped us was nice and efficient. Everything we purchased was super fresh! We would highly recommend the lime Bismark, glazed donut, and Cinnamon donut. Also, the almond tarts are perfection. We bought some buns and a sourdough loaf that was sliced. Very handy. Have not tried that, but it sure smells divine! Will be back!

Absolutely the best donuts I’ve ever had. Their donuts are fresh and flavourful with an amazing selection. The cheese buns are also really great. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking for some tasty treats or fresh baked goods. I can’t wait for my next visit!

Edible Elegance is delicious! We have been ordering cakes and cupcakes from them for a few years, and they are always so tasty and beautiful! My 3 year old asked for "pink and purple cupcakes with sprinkles" for her birthday, and they baked and decorated them to perfection. I love popping in to treat our family to cupcakes, snickerdoodle cookies or the carrot square, and we are never disappointed. Quick service, pretty and delicious treats, and friendly staff!

As a family were thrilled and excited with the Woodland theme first birthday cake for our granddaughter’s first birthday! Sarah and the staff were so very accommodating with our requests and at very short notice due to unforeseen circumstances on our end! They even matched the colours to our decor! Rio was captivated by the critters! They have also made amazing custom cookies for our work team in the past! We would absolutely recommend them for any jc your baking needs! Thank you so very much!

I ordered a large sheet cake (vanilla with vanilla buttercream) to feed a crowd. We picked up the cake on Saturday afternoon for a Sunday party, it kept great overnight and the guests loved it. The shop was very careful and accommodating about food allergies.

Every single item that comes from Maple and Molasses is delicious. I honestly can't name anything Vanessa has baked that I didn't want at least 9000 more of. She puts in the work, research, time and love it takes to make everything taste absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!
