“Dr. Rachel Asiniwasis finished her Master’s degree in clinical and translational research. She finished her Dermatology residency at the University of Toronto. She specializes in treating patients of all ages. She specializes in medical dermatology, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, skin infections, and skin cancer. Dr. Rachel Asiniwasis strives to explore access and connectivity concerns relevant to primary interdisciplinary treatment in skin disorders. Many of her peers and colleagues have identified her as Canada’s first Indigenous Dermatologist. She is the founder of the Origins Dermatology Centre. The clinic offers a safe, healthy, positive environment and personalized, innovative, and research-driven dermatological care.
2025 Update: They offer a combined multidisciplinary model that services both the general population and provides outreach clinics (in-person and virtual care) for underserved remote and rural Indigenous (First Nations and Metis) communities.”
