“Dr. Nicole Maierhoffer earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Distinction from the University of Regina. She then received her Doctorate of Optometry with Highest Honours from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, where she also earned a certificate in Advanced Studies in Contact Lenses. Dr. Maierhoffer completed a low vision and vision rehabilitation residency at the William Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center. Her training includes diagnosing and managing eye diseases, fitting specialty contact lenses, and conducting eye exams for children and seniors. She trained at several U.S. hospitals, including Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, IHS Hospital in Harlem, New York, and Providence Veterans Affairs Hospital in Rhode Island. She also interned at an ophthalmology practice in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, and the low vision clinic at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia. She is a Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key Honours Society member and has volunteered for vision screenings and with the Special Olympics. She is the clinical director of the Opening Eyes Program through the Special Olympics in Saskatchewan. Currently, she is practising at Urbanview Optometry. The clinic is committed to providing personalized, compassionate and comprehensive eye care.”
