Streetwise Driving School has taught hundreds of students of all ages and ethnicities how to drive safely and defensively; their Instructors are all government-certified and bonded. They provide international students who need a BC driver's license, or those who need to brush up as they achieve their Class 7/5, so they have full driving privileges. They provide training in an automatic Toyota Prius Hybrid with Air Conditioning. Pick-up and drop-off are available at Departure Bay Ferry in Nanaimo if the road test is booked in Nanaimo. They also offer gift certificates for all occasions.

Surinder is amazing! Knowledgeable, patient, and organized. His good humour and feedback-focused approach made me look forward to his driving classes. As a data-driven person, I appreciated his documentation of my progress to look back on throughout my time under his instruction. Outside of teaching strong driving maneuvers, Surinder’s ability to coach me through days when progress felt stagnant contributed to me becoming a more confident driver. Thanks to Surinder, I was able to pass Class 7 on my first try! Can’t recommend him enough.

Surinder is a great teacher and I couldn’t have passed without him. He is very calm and patient and takes the time to explain things in a way that’s understandable. Even though I did not pass the first time due to a silly mistake I made but I’ve since gone back and have passed and couldn’t have done it without surinder.

Surinder was an amazing instructor! I was an extremely anxious driver and didn’t ever think I’d get my N but I did lessons with Surinder and he helped me gain my confidence. I passed my N first try because of his lessons. 100% recommend !

I am very lucky to have Alex as my instructor this time. This is my third time to take a road test. I am nervous but more confident than before because of Alex’s help. He is nice,friendly and of course very professional. He is happy to answer any questions which is important for me. Because the driving habit is totally different from China where I come from, Alex answered every problem I asked with specific and logical explanations which helped me to remember and understand easily. I suppose if I met him earlier I wouldn’t have to take so many road tests. Thank you Alex! Thank you so much! I strongly recommend this driving school to anyone who needs an instructor!

I cannot recommend Alex enough. He is genuinely fantastic and knew exactly how to handle and guide my anxiety with taking my test. He's knowledgeable. He gives you helpful tips. And he's all in all a sweet, funny, caring guy.

I highly recommend going with Changing Lanes for your driving lessons. Crystal was so helpful with arranging times and accommodating my schedule. Wilma was the best driving instructor-incredibly patient, kind, and fun to drive with. Thank you for helping me get my N on my first try!

Damon is an excellent instructor and is very professional in his approach. He helped me fine-tune my driving and pass my exam, pinpointing the silly mistakes I was making which led to failure in my previous Class 5 driving tests. I would recommend ABS Driving School everybody - Nadeem Wadiwalla

I ended up getting the five lesson package To help prepare my son for his driving test. Damon was the instructor and he was fantastic. My son passed the test with almost a perfect result. It definitely made the experience easier as a parent. Highly recommend.

My daughter took lesson with Damon and passed her N test on her first try! He is very knowledgeable, kind and patient. I would definitely recommend him as a driving instructor.
