“Dr. Laurie Mereu completed her medical degree at the University of Western Ontario and her endocrinology and metabolism residency at the University of Toronto. She was recruited to the University of Alberta in 1998 and became a professor in 2012. She is the Conference Chair for the Division of Endocrinology’s Annual Endocrine & Diabetes Update. Dr. Laurie Mereu is the Director of Resident Transfers for Postgraduate Medicine. She is an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Examination Board. I was an out of town patient, I drove about 5 hours to see Dr. Mereu. I am so thankful to have Dr. Mereu as my thyroid specialist. She is an angel that saved my life and paid every details to my symptoms. She listened to my pains and problems. She was very caring person. Long story short, between 2015-2017 I remember myself was so weak and emotional during the time I've met her because I can't control my depressions and pains. She walked me through the problems and helped me solve it. She didn't leave me behind or didn't ignore me at all. I am so thankful to have her. She made someone's life meaningful which it's rare to be found these days. She was very kind to me. If you are reading this, I'd want you to know that you changed my perspective to view others with kindness. You gave kindness to me that I won't never forgotten. Thank you :( during covid19, I wish you to be safe and healthy!

I have seen Dr Mereu for over 10 years. I did my research and wanted the best diabetic doctor in the city and she was highly recommended to me. after 10 years I have the right to say she's the best, I recommend her to everyone. PS in 10 years, she has never been late.

Dr. Mereu is fantastic. I've never had a doctor who went so above and beyond to take care of me. She is incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable. She's always been on time as well.

I truly believe the previous reviews are not fair and I value the expertise Dr Jacquir has. Always thorough. I think our specialists are pushed to do a lot these days with lack of family physicians and I never once felt I didn’t have comprehensive care from her. I had some labs come back, and she must have been away. Another physician called me still. Recommend the Garneau Endocrinology clinic for sure.

I would never recommend this doctor ever ! She put me on the birth control pill without even asking my history of breast cancer in my family and within 3 months on it I developed a lump , stage 3 breast cancer.

Dr jacquier has been my Dr for over 20 years, I can honestly say that I would not be here today if I did not have her and team in my corner.

Dr. Cawsey has been a life saver for me - and her willingness to deal with my memory and cognitive shortcomings has been a blessing. She doesn't rush, nor make me feel as though I'm lesser for asking for clarity. I've seen a multitude of specialists for a variety of my different ailments and she has been by far the best and easiest to deal with. It's (unfortunately) so incredibly rare to find a genuine human being that CARES behind a telephone appointment, and yet - I can tell that she does.

Dr Sarah is hands down the best doctor I have ever seen.She is polite,kind,caring and very knowledgeable.She is working with me to find a solution for my diabetes treatment.Both her and her team are available for questions and I hear from them several times a week as they monitor my progress.Highly recommend.

Dr Cawsey is very knowledgeable and puts it to work in her assessment and diagnosis. She is an astute problem solver and very thorough. Unlikely you will find someone better anywhere.
