“Dr. Laurie Mereu completed her medical degree at the University of Western Ontario and her endocrinology and metabolism residency at the University of Toronto. She was recruited to the University of Alberta in 1998 and became a professor in 2012. She is the Conference Chair for the Division of Endocrinology’s Annual Endocrine & Diabetes Update. Dr. Laurie Mereu is the Director of Resident Transfers for Postgraduate Medicine. She is an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Examination Board. She specializes in treating diabetes, thyroid disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome, osteoporosis, and adrenal and pituitary disorders. She practices at the Kaye Edmonton Clinic.
