“Dr. Vivek Mehta is a well-known neurosurgeon in Edmonton, AB. He graduated from Queen’s University in 1992 and finished his neurosurgical residency at Dalhousie University. He then did his clinical fellowship training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital and completed a Master of Science in Epidemiology at Harvard University. Dr. Vivek was an assistant professor of Neurosurgery at Dalhousie University. For the last 18 years, he has been a pediatric and adult neurosurgeon at the University of Alberta. He is a clinical professor of neurosurgery at the University of Alberta with a clinical interest in pediatric neurosurgery and neuro-oncology. Dr. Vivek Mehta has been the Neurosurgical Residency Program Director and a Royal College Neurosurgical Exam Committee member. He is the Specialty Chair of Neurosurgery at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He co-founded Neurosurgery Kids Fund and has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications.”
