FISH TIME FISH & CHIPS REVIEWS

Visiting from out of town, we decided to give Fish Time a try. While the restaurant is simple and unassuming, it also feels like a wonderful family-friendly place. Most importantly for me, the food was fantastic. The haddock and chips (only $12.19) was excellent, as were the onion rings and coleslaw we ordered extra. The highlight for me was that the batter is light, the meal was flavourful, and both of us felt great afterwards (sometimes I feel gross after eating fried food). They were also attentive with excellent service. Clearly, they're doing something right at this restaurant. Bravo to Fish Time - we'll be back when we're in Stratford again.

I believe you can get the best fried fish in South Ontario here. The most important thing for fried food is the quality of the oil. Many places use filtered oil to save costs, and if you eat fried food often, you can immediately feel it. I often come to this restaurant, and I can clearly feel that they don't use filtered oil, and the texture and quality of food fried in fresh oil are definitely different.

I had takeout from here and had fish and chips with battered mushrooms. Generous piece of fish, fries were crispy, coleslaw was creamy , mushrooms were good. Price was comparable. I recommend Fish Time F&C.

I went to Stratford for a day trip to celebrate my birthday. I has the gluten free shrimp trio last time and this time I got the GF Dill Pickle Poutine it was so amazing!!!! Our server was Rachel she was so kind, bubbly, and funny!!! There is so much on the menu which is amazing, as someone with celiac I usually get 1-2 options or none. It was nice to feel “normal” picking from an actual menu, they have dedicated GF fryers, AND your GF meal comes out with a GF sticker on it so you feel safe and there is no mix up. I cannot wait to go back and try other items like GF cheese sticks, GF deep fried mars-ish bar, Casear salad with GF croutons, and GF fish and chips. Thank you so much Annie’s for amazing customer service and delicious food.

The food is delicious! The fish was beautifully cooked, and the portions were extremely generous. Many safe gluten free options available to Celiac customers as well, including deep-fried onion rings, mushrooms and cheese sticks.

Went on Wednesday which is their gluten free night and it was fabulous. No mark up on Wednesday and the food was amazing. Staff and owners were lovely. We went back to pick up frozen GF food later and it is good as well. Can't say enough about the steps they take to assist those who are Celiac and gluten intolerant.

I am so impressed every time I eat here. Whether it’s take out or a dine in breakfast, the food is amazing. The quality fresh ingredients, generous portion sizes and the amazing tasting food is so satisfying. The prices are excellent and the staff are so friendly. I love the fish and chips, they taste better than restaurants in Stratford that specialize in serving fish and chips. The burgers are so tasty and the soup delicious. Thank you Demetre’s for always providing excellent quality food.

Dining at a family run restaurant with a high traffic is always reassuring of the food quality. The lineup for a Saturday brunch was long but we were quickly seated and served.There are no none-dairy options available nor gluten free. The vegetarian Omelette was good but it lacked flavor. The Waffle was crispy on the outside, and so light and fluffy on the inside. The whipped cream was missing despite the note on the menu.

This was our first time dining at Demeter's. We have passed many times and the parking lot is always full. Our dinner was the classic Greek fare - delicious chicken souvlaki, rice pilaf, lemon roasted potatoes with greek salad. Great customer service, healthy portions and wonderfully comfortable ambiance. Obviously an established respected by locals. We will be back when in town.
