Fantastic Fish and Chips in a unique setting! Outdoor seating only. Staff were friendly and had our order ready quick. The line up can get long after 12, so suggest trying to beat the rush by a few minutes.

Best Halibute Fish and Chips you can get. The resteraunt is very crowded with locals since it is a place worth returning to. The Fisherman's Warf area; where it is located, is a great place to get fresh fish. The views of downtown Vancouver and water are amazing. The only possible issue is that all dining is outdoors and is perfect if the weather is good. Since no covered eating area can be a problem in the rain. This is a must try place when in Vancouver, but I would recommend checking the weather 1st.

This was our first time visiting this place today. We went during lunchtime and ordered 2 pieces cod with chips and 1 piece halibut with chips. The service was excellent and the server had a sense of humor. It was busy but didn't take long to get our food and lots of places to sit. The gentlemen with a white baseball cap thank you for the halibut it was the best fish n chips I've had and can't wait to come back again. You guys are doing amazing keep it up.

This place is the best for fish and If I could give 10 stars, I would. The Fish Counter is one of those classic hole-in-the-wall places that you could easily walk right past if you didn’t know it was there. Don’t make that mistake. This was, without question, the best traditional fish and chips I’ve ever had. The fish was perfectly cooked: light, flaky, and incredibly fresh. They have a batter that was crispy, golden, and not greasy in the slightest. The fries were exactly what great fish and chips should be, and everything arrived hot and fresh. As someone with celiac disease, I was especially impressed that they offer a gluten-free batter and maintain a separate dedicated fryer. Finding fish and chips that are both safe and genuinely excellent is incredibly rare, and The Fish Counter absolutely delivers on both fronts. Great food, great attention to dietary needs, and the kind of unpretentious local spot that reminds you why independent restaurants are worth seeking out. Don’t walk past this place. Go in. Order the fish and chips. Thank me later.

Update** gave into my craving and went back for the pasta again. It was genuinely even tastier than last time! Absolutely phenomenal, perfect lunch or dinner for any day :) Wow! I may have just had my new favourite seafood pasta. If you're looking for something fresh and creamy, this is your best bet. Hands down. AND it was only $15 I will most definitely be back ;) Highly, highly recommend to all pasta enthusiasts!.

The BEST GF Halibut I have ever tasted!!!! You can order DF and GF options here. Fish was top notch, fries were great, not short on ketchup, and good tartar sauce. Great atmosphere as well!! I believe they take pride in the food they serve at The Fish Counter Main Street!!! Come and try them out.... We'd DEFINITELY go back for more!!.

Generous portions, fresh and tasty. Casual, clean and excellent service. Family of 3 we ordered a haddock burger, cod meal and a large caesar salad for lunch. We wish we lived closer so we could visit more often.

Really awesome chippy and great fish Some times we will have the all you can eat fish and chips my husband loves it. This comes from someone raised in Ireland with each g fish and chips at least once a week.
