3 Best Pizza Places in Vancouver, BC

Virtuous pie is one of my favorite pizza places in Vancouver. Everything on the menu is vegan and everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. The service is great and you can tell that everyone who works there cares about making good quality food. Definitely try the pizza, but also try the cannolis, salads, mac n cheese and the ice cream. Seriously I love everything on the menu.

We tried the stranger wings and forager pizzas. Both were delicious. I couldn't even tell they were vegan. The crust is an authentic Italian pizza crust which is thin and soft, with a slightly crisp exterior.

Fun to be in the original location I had only previously visited Portland. Obviously you know about the pizza, but I enjoy the brunch a lot. Great stop right off the train.

First time at AJ’s and it’s hands down the best Brooklyn-style pizza in town. It’s a bit of a hidden gem or say a hole in the wall. It was hard to find, with more of a beer pub vibe than your typical pizza place with pop of colours and posters. Service was attentive. We tried the vegetarian, cheese, pepperoni, and Sicilian slices—all had a crispy crust with that perfect char my kids and I love. Toppings amounted to be not too much or less, and flavours came in perfect. It’s not soggy or skimpy. I’d seen some reviews here saying the pizza was overcooked or the tomato sauce cold, but that wasn’t our experience at all—everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Overcooked was probably for the Neapolitan pizza fans but this one’s different and it’s got burnt crisp crust and toppings and we love it. The Sicilian with pepperoni was a standout, and the hot honey dip took it to another level. I’ve had pizza all over the world, and AJ’s is now one of our favorite. Can’t wait to come back and try the Detroit-style, next time!

Super great Detroit-style pizza! Picked up the red top for takeout and I didn’t know that they wouldn’t send a message when it was ready so I waited for a while and therefore the pizza was slightly cold. But as that was a personal error, I give them the benefit of doubt, and the pizza was still nonetheless really great! I can only imagine how good it would have been hot and fresh. The dough is perfection — super fluffy and spongy, and the crispy cheese crust is complimentary in both flavor and texture. I do wish there was a bit more sauce, however again it was great nonetheless. Take out does take about an hour so plan a bit in advance! It was quite busy so service was a bit slow, but that is to be expected especially on a Friday. They also have a good amount of bar seating + tables so it’s a great place to be. Definitely recommend, and I am excited to return and maybe try some more menu items.

Delicious pizza! I stopped by for two slices to go for dinner. I got the Sicilian and pepperoni- paid for up at front and waited a few minutes for them to be heated up. Both were actually super delicious with a crispy crust. Loved the amount of cheese and pepperoni on them. If I were to go back, I would just get the Sicilian. It’s super filling!
