Norbert, owner of Smooth Latin Grooves is an incredible dance instructor! He is truly a master of his art. He maintains a high degree of professionalism while also making us laugh and smile throughout his teachings. We had a last-minute wedding and 6 days prior to the date we called him asking if he could teach us some dance moves for our first dance. There was no one else who made time for us on such short notice. Even with the time constraint we put on ourselves, what we ended up getting out of it was an incredible choreographed dance that blew our guests and ourselves away! We can say honestly that what he did meant so much to us. Although we only met each other one week prior to the big day, we ended up inviting Norbert to our wedding. It was only fair that he got to witness all his hard work. Our guests all raved about how in awe they were when we hit the dance floor. What would have been a simple slow dance turned into a magical compilation of diamond steps, spins, lifts, and dips! If you are considering receiving dance lessons from Norbert, you have our recommendation. We will be continuing our lessons with him after the wedding indefinitely! - Patrick H.

My fiancé and I signed up with Smooth Latin Grooves to learn a choreographed routine for our first dance at our wedding. We were both complete beginners to dancing going into this, and had no previous experience, so we were unsure how we would do with learning an entire routine. Norbert made the whole experience very fun and relaxed, and any stress we initially had was quickly alleviated! We were able to learn all the new dance moves at a pace that was comfortable for us, and Norbert always did an excellent job at explaining everything and walking us through each step. We were never rushed through our lessons, and he was always willing to go slightly past our lesson time to answer any questions we had or help us perfect what we had just learned that week. We always looked forward to each lesson, and Norbert made the whole experience very fun and enjoyable. I would HIGHLY recommend Smooth Latin Grooves to anyone looking to learn a wedding dance, or to anyone looking for dance lessons of any kind. - Luke F.

My partner and I reached out to Smooth Latin Grooves Dance Studio about eight weeks before our wedding in September 2023. We spoke with Norbert about helping us with a dance for our first dance as a married couple. Working with two grooms presents its own set of challenges to work through when choreographing a partner dance and then doing it to a live cover of a song presents another entirely different set of challenges. Norbert was able to work with the two of us (both at different levels of experience in dance) and make us feel comfortable with the dance and make the process fun as well as the end result stunning! He choreographed our first dance and incorporated our suggestions as well as offering his own input and invaluable expertise. Neither my partner or myself had experience with the slow rumba and Norbert was able to teach us the basics of the style as well as some rather impressive moves that were incorporated throughout the dance. We did not anticipate the applause we received after each complex feature step we performed! Norbert was also able to tailor our dance to the venue which had guests on each side of our dance floor. Smooth Latin Grooves really made the process of learning a dance to our first dance song fun and made us look like pros on our big day!! Norbert, we cannot thank you enough for your guidance and professionalism and even for helping us when we changed the dance two days before the wedding!!! The dance could not have gone better!! - Jared B.

My fiancé and I had an amazing time at Lakeside Dance studio beginning with the wedding workshop and then private lessons to learn an awesome choreographed first dance for our wedding! Ashley worked with us and she is AMAZING!!! She was patience, gave us awesome choreography to work with at our level, and allowed us to pick some moves that we wanted to incorporate. My fiancé and I grew as a couple through experience and now look forward to being able to bust a move at all the wedding we attend! Thank you Ashley, can’t wait to return to learn more awesome moves!.

We absolutely love Ashley and Adam!!! My fiance and I began lessons for our first dance and they are such lovely and fun people it doesn't make you feel nervous or uncomfortable. All of our lessons are mostly with Ashley. She is so encouraging and patient. I would highly recommend doing lessons here! After our wedding we want to continue lessons here for date nights!.

Our daughter Kaylin and her dad had their father daughter wedding dance choreographed by Adam. The dance was beautiful and there were a few tears throughout. After the wedding, Mark and I attended salsa lessons and then line dancing. We were a little anxious at the beginning but loved how Adam and Ashley started with the basics and we were pleasantly surprised with our dancing skills. Line dancing was so much fun and a bit of a workout!.

My fiance and I were looking for dance lessons for our upcoming wedding as neither one of us knew how to dance, when I came across uptempo I connected with Deanna immediately. Deanna fitted us with an excellent dance teacher Karen! We couldn't be more happier to have found them and the studio. They are both so inviting and welcoming and fun. And they don't judge you, they laugh with you in the awkward moments. If your looking for a night out or just fun you need to go to uptempo.

Uptempo is so warm and welcoming. The instructors have a wealth of experience in various dance styles and teach in a way that makes the dance moves accessible to everyone. I highly recommend Uptempo Dance Studio to anyone even slightly curious about learning to dance - it's fun and inclusive with a fabulous community of people. I can truly say that I've found my peeps!.

I absolutely loved the Street Salsa Class with David. He was so fun and had amazing talent and skills in dance and also with teaching :) 100% recommend for anyone who enjoys to dance and wants to improve their rhythm.
