Raymond Foley from Above the Rest came to the house yesterday and did the repairs. This was amazing and so appreciated as we just learned there is another tropical storm (Phillipe) headed our way. Raymond’s company did the original install and he kind of took it personally that there was a problem and wanted to make sure we were ready for this storm. I would like to recognize that he had recommended GAF shingles in 2015 and pointed out the great warranty. He admitted he has had very little warranty work with GAF – that’s how good the shingles are and I suppose his work as well. I have recommended Above the Rest to friends in Halifax who all seem quite happy with this work. Please make sure that my comments are noted when the warranty paperwork or other communication is completed with him. - Steve O

We had our roof replaced with Timberline HD Ultra shingles by Above the Rest Roofing. Ray was good to deal with, and and took pride in the products he used and the work his crew did. Raymond and his crew installed an aluminum shingle roof on my home, along with three new skylights. The crew took a few days, and did a great job. It's quite a large roof, with some intricate angles on one portion. They were great, paid close attention to detail, and the final result looks amazing. They showed up on time daily, and spent hours doing it, as each square must be screwed in and connected individually. I had an issue with the skylight a few weeks ago, and once Raymond heard about it, he got on the roof immediately and repaired it. Our roof was replaced last year and we have no complaints at all. The 2 gentleman installing were as fast, efficient and respectful. They went all around the house with a large magnet to ensure there were no metal pieces left on the grounds ( we have a cat). The job was finished in 3 days and the burgundy colour matches our trim and looks great. Ray and his wife came and inspected the job a few times. Top notch company, had my roof redone about 4 to 5 years ago. After several wind storms and a couple hurricanes, have not had any issues or lost a shingle. These folks showed up as scheduled and made short work of the job, owner (Raymond) came by a few days later and even went up on the roof himself to inspect the job that his guys had done. We would highly recommend hiring Refined Roofing. Our experience was exceptional from first meeting with Tim Hart to completion of the work. Our project manager Renaud was a gem! He kept us well informed and followed up regularly during the job. Dwayne and another gentleman (apologies for forgetting his name) did the actual work on the roof. They both worked long days and extremely hard. After the job was completed, they cleaned up so well that you wouldn't even know they were here. Excellent, excellent work. The roof looks fantastic! We also needed our solar panels removed prior to roofing and reinstalled afterwards. Refined Roofing found us an excellent company to complete this work, and we were extremely happy with them as well - excellent work and reasonably priced. Refined roofing did a great job. Very pleased with the quality, workmanship and professionalism of the crew that worked on my roof. There were some scheduling difficulties, but they were solved efficiently with good communication. All debris and nails were cleaned up before they departed the worksite, my roof looks great and no leaks! Special mention goes out to Dwayne for being onsite every day and Scott the mason for rebuilding the chimney.
