WESTERN DEVELOPMENT MUSEUM AVIS
The boomtown exhibit is just so interesting with so much history to take in and walking into the buildings really feels like you're walking back in time. The vehicle exhibit was phenomenal. The old cars were the kids favorite part as well as being able to climb into an old train engine and feeling what it was like. They have staff around who will sneak up behind you with interesting information on whatever it is you're looking at. We also were treated to a model train show going on at the museum at the same time. Facilty is huge and from what I noticed, very clean. It takes a couple of laps around to really see it (and we likely missed some) Only downside was it was incredibly busy but it only moderately affected the experience. There's lots of parking and it's really easy to find.
What a great museum! The size of the building was surprising and thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits. You can walk down the Main Street in Boomtown with many buildings, shops, offices, etc. with collections supporting each one. Not being from the area, I learned a tremendous amount in the Saskatchewan history section and was impressed by the collection of cars, trains and farm machinery. An excellent place for any age.
Great museum, with push carts available for smaller kids. We enjoyed the interactive exhibits, with the combine cab, Bennett Buggy, antique car, and loved the model trains. Lots of activities for kids and informative boards on the machinery and stories were available.

SASKATOON FORESTRY FARM PARK & ZOO AVIS
The Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park is such a beautiful place to behold. The environment is so cool and is a very good place for relaxation. It's also good for picnics with a wide place for children to run around. The McDonald's Play Ground is so well equipped good enough for the Children to exercise themselves without being tired. It also a good place to hold Children's Birthday parties. There is also a zoo on the other side though I've not been there.
Good park for one day activities. Learning centre has some snakes, turtles especially for the kids. The downside is that many places does not actually has any animals, its just empty. The zoo is nice for the kids but not too much for adults. However, the butterfly section is amazing as you will see butterflies flying around (you are not allowed to touch them - they can touch you ). You could spend a day or half. At the entrance, you have to pay park parking fees and there is separate fees to enter zoo. The separate cost for adults and kids. Overall, the place is good but they can improve a lot.
A great way to spend a summer day with family. The staff are friendly and helpful and somehow keep the place clean. The butterfly exhibit is worth the entry fee alone.

WANUSKEWIN HERITAGE PARK AVIS
Spent two hours and could have spent many more. The exhibits were well done and the information shared provided insight up to the point of First Nation sacred heritage. The word choices on the panels, the importance of passing things on to the children and the dance demonstration gave me a deeper understanding. Going outdoors, only did the Trail of Discovery (30 minutes) and at each spot, there was placard with excellent information. Highly recommend visiting and it was truly a peaceful place.
An incredible experience. Bring bug spray and water if you plan to hike the trails - they have water fill stations inside. It was so beautiful with the river view and watching the grass in the wind. I would plan to spend at least 3 hours if you're going to have lunch, see the exhibits, walk the trails and visit the playground.
Awesome place! Wonderful exhibits & even better snowshoeing (which is included in the entrance fee). It is soon to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll worth the visit any time of year.
