Western Development Museum (WDM) has four locations across the province holding a remarkable collection of nearly 80,000 artifacts, ranging from pins to locomotives. The WDM serves as a custodian of Saskatchewan's history from early settlement to the present day. Through exhibits, education programs, public programs, special events, and historical research, the WDM actively engages the people of Saskatchewan with their past. Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo was established, initially as the Dominion Forest Nursery Station and later as the Sutherland Forest Nursery Station. Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo is a non-profit environmental awareness group devoted to encouraging appreciation for nature. The zoo primarily focuses on Saskatoon grassland biodiversity and species that call the prairies home. The zoo also houses several endangered animals. In addition, Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo offers educational services at the park and beyond.

2025 Update: The Zoo is accredited by the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums and contains over 80 species of animals. In 2025, the Zoo became an Institution Member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and is the only such accredited zoo in Saskatchewan.

2025 Update: Remai Modern is an avant-garde museum building with contemporary art and a Picasso gallery, plus a theatre and eatery. The museum presents and collects local and international modern and contemporary art that connects, inspires, and challenges diverse audiences through equitable and accessible programs. The museum aims to be a welcoming and inclusive public gathering place where they recognize the past, engage with the present, and envision new futures together through art. Remai Modern holds in trust more than 8,000 artworks in a wide variety of media. The museum’s collecting focus is on art produced from around 1900 to the present moment and aims to strike an optimal balance between local, regional and global interests. Remai Modern houses the most comprehensive collection of linocuts by Pablo Picasso from 1881 to 1973. Admission is free for youth under 18. Wheelchair access is available from the heated attached parkade.
