"Dr. Karen MacMillan graduated from the Jagiellonian Medical School in Krakow, Poland. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at McMaster University. Dr. Karen Macmillan is passionate about women’s health and is proud to provide care for her community. She has been an active staff physician at Niagara Health, and has held the position of Interim Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2019 to 2021. She serves as the Post Graduate Liaison for Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster University Niagara Regional Campus. She also teaches at the University as an Assistant Clinical Professor. She is the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Niagara Health.

I have seen Dr. Macmillan twice in the last 6 months and it has been such a great experience. She has given me more information about my PCOS in just two visits than other doctors have after years. She is thorough and relays the information in a way that is very easy to understand. She has sent me for some follow up lab work rather than just band aiding the problem. She makes your concerns feel heard. As a bonus she is very personable and I find she matches energy well. When I was concerned she was compassionate, when I said something ridiculous she was funny right back. Her staff are wonderful and the phones are always answered promptly or messages returned promptly, which as most people know isn't common in medical offices. Such a great asset to health care in Niagara.

Had female surgery with Dr. Macmillan. She's straight forward and to the point. She's a surgeon not a baby sitter. So if blunt and straight forward is not your cup of tea, then go somewhere else. She was amazing. Came and saw my family right after surgery and even called me 3 weeks after to check in on me . 3 weeks before my scheduled appointment. I can't speak highly enough about het.
