I made the trip to Thor's salon in Fredericton based on his reputation including all the great reviews here. I wasn't disappointed! I've never visited a home-based stylist but in this case the experience was almost as wonderful as the results. Thor is so warm and welcoming, you instantly feel like you're visiting a friend (only this friend is a former owner of a top salon and a master colourist!) Thor apologized for not having his usual biscotti on offer but offered me coffee, tea, chocolates and 'maybe a sandwich?' instead. :-} He queued up some great TED talks and music for me to watch while he worked on "my hair problem". I came in with a mess of grey, blonde, ashy highlights and dry, damaged ends and left with a clean, long bob of gorgeous browns. Shortly after getting home, Thor sent me the formula he'd used for my colour to take to my local salon, some links to the music I'd heard and tips he'd mentioned. If you're looking for someone who will really take the time to listen to you, knows what they are doing and won't stop until the results are perfect....I highly recommend Urban Soul.

Always Happy! I have been going to Thor for a few years now and have never walked out of the salon disappointed. On my first visit to Thor's salon I told him that I wanted something very different. I left it up to him to do as he saw fit and from that day on I have always loved my hair. I get sooo many compliments on my hair and at any age "they" are always great to hear. Each visit to the salon for a cut and/or color is like a spa treatment......Thor and his staff are always so pleasant and make you feel very special. I would, and do recommend Thor to all my friends......Thank you Thor.

I had a great experience at Urban Soul Salon! Thor was welcoming, attentive and gave superb advice on how to care for my hair. He shared his opinion on a cut and color that I went with, and was completely thrilled with! I had many compliments at work the next day, thanks to Thor. Sarah and her team at Shear are phenomenal! Finding stylists you like is always tricky, to the point that I used travel 3.5 hours to have my hair done. That is obviously not longer the case and I trust the gals are Shear with my life! I find them to be direct and honest and open to playing around. On top of the very reasonable pricing, I always come out of SB looking my best.

This is an absolutely great salon. Everyone here is friendly, easy-going and rich with smiles. While it may look small on the outside, it is very roomy inside and can accommodate several clients at once easily. It is well laid out, clean, and very stylish. I also love the product lines they carry.

Rhiannon has given me the best shaped eyebrows I've ever had and is SUPER kind and friendly, I highly recommend visiting her especially if it's your first experience with any aesthetic service!

We brought our daughter here because she wanted a significant change to her hair style. The entire staff were very friendly and the hair stylist did a great job getting her style exactly Like the photo my daughter had. I believe the stylists name was Chloe! Overall great experience and very good price for a wash, cut and style. Highly recommend!

I took my daughter to get her hair coloured by Josh last night. He was so patient and listened to her requests and gave her exactly what she wanted. The colour is beautiful and the whole experience was really fun for her! Thank you Josh!

Got me in last minute, nice & enjoyable. Erika helped me pick a shampoo to help manage the effects of hard water on my hair and I feel it's made all the difference.
