Odell Park Trail is a 333-acre park that features some of Canada's best old-growth forests and is open year-round. Odell Park includes an outdoor rink, a slide down the hills, and 16 kilometres of paths through a mixed forest. Some of the trees in the park are over 400 years old. The park also has a waterfowl pond, disc golf, and a children's playground, perfect for a picnic. Visitors can skate on the outdoor rink in winter, indulge in thrilling downhill sledding adventures, and embark on cross-country skiing expeditions on meticulously groomed paths.

Dunbar Falls has a 700-metre hiking trail that travels along the shore of Dunbar Stream. The highlight of the trailhead is Dunbar Falls, which is 3 metres in height and spans the full width of the wide stream. Dunbar Falls has a good flow of water. The trail takes you to a trendy swimming hole just beneath Dunbar Falls. The falls offer various activities and events, such as nature walks and activities with community groups and play centres. This beautiful spot is also an excellent weekend destination for the whole family to spend a day. Plenty of parking is at the trailhead, and Dunbar Falls Trailhead is accessible 24/7.

Hyla Park Nature Preserve is a beautiful spot that is delightful in the summer. Hyla Park features a number of wetlands and ponds that vary in size with the seasons. The nature preserve offers a short network of trails that meander through the woods and along the wetlands, making it a great place to visit. The park is accessible by car and through the Fredericton trail system. Hyla Park is an excellent example of environmental protection and a hidden gem in Fredericton. Frog walks are free to join every Wednesday at 6 pm, where kids can use provided nets to catch frogs, guided by experts. Walking tours are held throughout the summer to help identify the wildlife in the park. You can also see different birds easily throughout the trails.
