DUCHESNAY FALLS TRAILS REVIEWS
This was a nice hike. There were waterfalls every few hundred feet and you're walking mainly on a stone and roots path so it's a good idea to have sneakers or hiking boots and I was glad I took my walking stick with me. I only did part of the trail and it was probably about two and a half kilometers and I think it would probably would end up being about 4 km if you took the whole route.
A good place to relax and enjoy nature. The falls are actually deeper into the woods and it takes about 7 to 8 minute trail to reach there. Since it's one of the popular place to visit in northbay and parking area is so small there could be a problem to park, we had to wait for a while till one car left. Also due to highway it's easy to miss the spot, there are not many direction boards placed nearby. Overall the trail is good mountain trail and inside is super peaceful and serene.
I highly recommend this trail. It's a great little break on your highway 17 drive. It doesn't take long to get to the main falls. Plenty more trails to explore if you have more time. Great photo opportunities too.

LAURIER WOODS CONSERVATION AREA REVIEWS
I love this place and everything about it! As a conservation area within the city it is a great place to take some time to slow down. It is also managed by some amazing people and there are a couple of clubs that run nature based activities there (Friends of Laurier Woods, Nipissing Naturalist Club). The trails are maintained primarily by a club member, (Ron) and is a sanctuary for all kinds of wildlife. It is primarily a wetland with boardwalks as well as trails through forested areas, and all kinds of birds, beavers, amphibians, turtles, deer, foxes, snowshoe hares and more call this beautiful place home. There is parking off Brule street (which is off of Franklin) and foot or bike access at the end of Laurier Ave.- although some people park there too. Great place for nature enthusiasts, hiking, mountain biking, kids, dogs (on leash) birding or nature spotting in general. I love it in here!

KINSMEN TRAIL REVIEWS
Nice, well maintained park along the Chippewa Creek with asphalted trails. Very pleasant for bikes/boards/scooters. Unfortunately the trail is mixed in the city a lot, sometimes you have to walk several blocks in high traffic from one section of the trail onto another.
Kinsmen Trail is one of the straight forward and clean trails in North Bay. Two way paved roads accompanied by small canal makes it more attractive. Whether you walk or cycle you’ll love it all way around.
Great trail to walk your dogs and a wonderful place to get some shade on a sunny day.
