North Bay Museum has been housed inside the historic Canadian Pacific Railway Station in downtown North Bay since 1973. North Bay Museum preserves and shares the history of North Bay through exhibits that mix interactive displays with artifacts for people of all ages to enjoy. The museum's mission is to preserve North Bay's heritage and encourage exploration of the people and places of the city's past and present. 2025 Update: Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens was built in 1955 and has a capacity of 4,246. The Gardens hosted the North Bay Centennials ice hockey team from 1982 to 2002. In 2007, Memorial Gardens played host to the Atlanta Thrashers and New York Islanders for a pre-season game after the city of North Bay was crowned Hockeyville. As part of the renovations, the seating capacity was increased, the ice surface was reconfigured to meet new OHL standards, and 10 private boxes were added, along with a new two-level team dressing room. The Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens Sports Arena has a 200' x 85' ice surface and a spectator capacity of 4,250 for hockey events and 5,000 for concerts. The Box Office utilizes an automated ticketing system, with customized event ticketing available. There are 10 open-air suites overlooking the ice surface and two lounges. There are five dressing rooms available for use. The parking lot has a capacity for approximately 1,000 vehicles.
