“2025 Update: Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens was built in 1955 and has a capacity of 4,246. The Gardens hosted the North Bay Centennials ice hockey team from 1982 to 2002. In 2007, Memorial Gardens played host to the Atlanta Thrashers and New York Islanders for a pre-season game after the city of North Bay was crowned Hockeyville. As part of the renovations, the seating capacity was increased, the ice surface was reconfigured to meet new OHL standards, and 10 private boxes were added, along with a new two-level team dressing room. The Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens Sports Arena has a 200' x 85' ice surface and a spectator capacity of 4,250 for hockey events and 5,000 for concerts. The Box Office utilizes an automated ticketing system, with customized event ticketing available. There are 10 open-air suites overlooking the ice surface and two lounges. There are five dressing rooms available for use. The parking lot has a capacity for approximately 1,000 vehicles.”

NORTH BAY MUSEUM REVIEWS

I highly recommend a visit to the North Bay Museum, for adults and kids alike. Housed in the old railway station is this fascinating display of history of rail, logging, the area and the community. Lots of interactive exhibits and things to try. So much love and care in each exhibit. Fully bilingual. Conveniently located next to bus terminal, splash pad and tunnel to waterfront trail. I spent an hour at the museum and could have spent much longer. Well worth a visit!

My family and I recently rented The Gallery event space in the North Bay Museum to hold my Mother's Celebration of Life. We were so pleased with the space and with Sarah and her team. The Gallery was bright with lots of windows and hardwood floors, and being able to rent it for 1/2 day made it very affordable. It came with tables, chairs, projector, screen, speaker and mike, which really helped with our rental cost. We had almost 50 guests for lunch and there was plenty of space. Sarah and her team were extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. In the end, we couldn't have been happier and we had a truly wonderful celebration for our Mother. The Gallery is a a gem in North Bay and I highly recommend it if you need a venue for any occasion.

Located in downtown North Bay at the historic North Bay railway building, this small but interesting museum is worth checking out when you're in the area. The staff does a great job changing up some of the exhibits while other mainstays speak in detail of the founders and roots of the city of North Bay and the surrounding area. While in the museum, check out the gift shop and enjoy this historic building.

CANADIAN FORCES MUSEUM OF AEROSPACE DEFENCE REVIEWS

Super cool place with detailed exhibits and a deep dive into the NORAD organization. There’s lots of interactive exhibitions as well! Coolest part is hands down the actual cockpit of a plane you get to climb in and get up and personal with. Great museum staff too! Super friendly and welcoming. The gift shop has a great selection of awesome souvenirs and t shirts.

Very cool little museum containing some interesting tidbits about Canadian History across different era’s! Bethany was informative and knowledgeable and she answered the questions I had with the greatest of ease. I can tell she was passionate about what she does. I would recommend it if museums or galleries typically interest you!

It is a fun and informative museum for families and kids. The staff was very friendly and helpfu,l explaining and engaging kids.

BOART LONGYEAR MEMORIAL GARDENS REVIEWS

It is a good place for events and activities to attend with family and friends, it is friendly with children and you can find some snacks too. We attended a Hockey game that was super fun and there was a lot of excitement and a good atmosphere in the place. Parking is free, but you should arrive early to find a spot easily.

Went to get our tickets for the up coming June Monster Truck event . The ticket girl was so nice and helpful. Got great seats

Went to the Stampede and venue was nice and big and easy to find yourself around.
