First we went to the Citidal and had a look around. Then we wandered around the grounds, went to the museum and took the bus tour around the park. We went back the next day to follow the trail that the British under Wolf took up the cliff to surprise Montcalm. It has places to stop and read information. It also has quotes from people at the battle. Then we climbed back up the hill. The climb is not for the faint of heart and I was impressed by the people on bicycles going up.

The Parc de la Plage Jacques Cartier is located next to the Cap Rouge Marina. I often walk during the summer on these long hiking trails that run along the St. Lawrence River. The view of the river is incredible, and the trails will allow you to take a long walk admiring the nature of Cap Rouge. With picnic tables located at different locations on the trail, you will certainly not have any misery finding a place to camp a few hours.

A must see when visiting Quebec. A short hike to the top of the Falls. But if you enjoy a good workout come ready for hundreds of stairs to the bottom and hundreds back to the top (unless you take the easy way via cable car)!
