Quiet, Peaceful & Beautiful park with an easy walking trail around the lake, suitable for all ages. You can bring dogs to the trail on leashed but cannot bring them inside the park We entered the trail from the boat rental store which locates next to the park and it took less than 1.5 hours to complete the trail back to the parking lots (we walked alongside of the lake) The trail is partial shaded by trees & some areas are fully exposed with Sunlight (vitamin D moments).
This park is one of the beat places in metro vancouver to kayaking, fishing, walking, bird watching and picnicking. The parking lot is okay even for weekends. There is a washroom, boat rental and few swings. The boardwalk guide you for walking around the lake. Watch for geese poop in grassy areas. I highly recommend this lake and park to have fun with family if you love outdoor activities.
It's a nice, relaxing walk around the lake with options to go boating, rent canoes and kayaks, there's also Burnaby Blooms by the shadbolt center. Parking is difficult and the play area for kids is minimal but there is a lot of birds and ducks to see, turtles, fish, bugs, many kinds of flowers, the path loop around the lake is amazing for a city park. Coyote sighting recently and signs are up, as well as bears.
