We planned part of our Victoria trip around this restaurant from excellent reviews and recommendations and it was so worth it. We ended up ordering way more food than the 2 of us could enjoy in an attempt to try various options. Absolutely left stuff in a food coma of bliss. The crispy chicken burrito, yam burrito, yam taco and fish tacos were just divine. The hard cider to accompany the meal was a perfect combo. Will definitely be back for more. Not a lot of free parking nearby so bare in mind to pay for your spot or expect an unpleasant surprise when you are back. Nothing abnormal for a downtown establishment.

This tuna taco will be joining me in my dreams for quite some time. Absolutely incredible! Expect a crowd during peak chow times. Order for pickup or inside dining then grab a spot at a table or bar. Service was super fast and friendly.

Great tacos, I had the crispy chicken and my wife had the ling cod. Love the chili oil on the crispy chicken taco. Friendly and quick service. Good location. Thanks for lunch.

CAFE MEXICO REVIEWS

I dropped by to order take out after their cut off time for take out orders. Ari was very accommodating, helped me with choosing the dishes and the spicy sauces. Food was amazing, and it was only surpassed by the staff's service. Next time, I will try to dine in.

Great atmosphere, and the place was packed. Our drinks were well done and reasonably priced. The service was solid and kept us with everything we needed to have a good time. The food was delicious, and there is something for everyone on the menu. It's a really fun place to be on a Saturday night.

After nearly a decade of living in Victoria and wanting to come here, I finally had the chance to go. I can’t believe it took me this long, and I wish it hadn’t. Easily a new fav.

MAIIZ NIXTAMAL REVIEWS

Really amazing little place! Walked in and was seated immediately. I'd read online that the portions were large so I got two singles instead (chicken tinga and barbacoa) as well as the esquites. The barbacoa was AMAZING! Next time, I'm going to try the duck. On the way back from the bathroom, I snapped a pick of their tortilla machine and was offered two fresh tortillas to try -- they were great! Would definitely come back.

Stopped at MAiiZ for lunch on our last day in Victoria and loved it! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was incredible. The duck and beef barbecue tacos were packed with flavor, and the homemade tortilla chips were amazing. Definitely a must-try when you’re in Victoria!.

The most amazing Mexican food and experience. We had the opportunity to try a big variety of dishes with 6 of us and every dish was incredible. Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back.
