“Dr. Allyson Tang graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and also earned an Honours Science degree from the University of Waterloo. She completed her Optometry externship at the Lexington Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Kentucky, U.S., where she focused on diabetic retinopathy and other eye diseases. She is certified to prescribe medication for eye conditions like allergies and glaucoma. Dr. Tang also completed an externship at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Optometry Department, where she learned about East Asian eye care and methods to control myopia (nearsightedness), a common issue in East Asia. She has a special interest in Accelerated Orthokeratology (AOK). Dr. Tang is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and Eye Recommend. She is currently practicing at Dr. Allyson Tang Optometrist. Her mission is to deliver attentive and personalized eye care through excellent communication, listening, and patience. The clinic is dedicated to remaining at the forefront of medical technology and providing a comprehensive range of services, including complete eye examinations and myopia control, as well as contact lenses, eyewear, sunglasses, and eyeglasses.
