“Dr. Deborah Lowy graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 1981, where she received an award for academic excellence. Her training included an internship at Huronia Regional Centre and the Department of Ophthalmology at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. Dr. Lowy has been actively involved in the profession, serving on the Complaints Committee at the College of Optometrists of Ontario from 2000 to 2007, including as chair from 2004 to 2007. She also served two terms on the College’s council and was honoured with the Queen’s Jubilee medal for her work in third-world countries. Dr. Deborah Lowy is currently practicing at Lowy & Sewell Eye Care. She specializes in glaucoma, pediatrics, and complex contact lens fitting, including multifocal and keratoconus.
