We were looking for a side trip from Niagara on the Lake and happened upon this wonderful museum. We were very lucky to arrive right when a very large cargo ship was negotiating the locks. It was fascinating and some volunteer guides were walking around answering questions and they were very friendly and knowledgeable. The museum itself was also fascinating and very well done. I was shocked at the amount of local history. Would be a great place to bring kids.

A great place to bring the kids or grand kids. Animals are friendly and can pet some of them. Bring your own bread to feed the ducks. It is a good little nature walk for young and old alike. The grounds are kept very clean. Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash. Happy Rolph's has a play ground for the kids and picnic tables for lunch. Over all a great place to visit over and over again as we have in the past.
