The Rooms is a contemporary centre that houses a local art gallery and a museum dedicated to natural and cultural history. It stands as Labrador's most expansive public cultural facility. Recognizing its role as a provincial cultural establishment, The Rooms pays its respects to the province of Newfoundland and Labrador as the ancestral homelands of a diverse array of Indigenous peoples who have contributed to 9,000 years of history, including the Beothuk on the Island of Newfoundland. One notable feature is the massive star-shaped citadel, one of the most extensive British fortifications in North America at its time, built to safeguard British fishing interests. Furthermore, The Rooms offers the option to rent its theatre and corporate boardrooms for various events, making it a versatile and welcoming gathering space.

THE ROOMS REVIEWS
This is first class museum that can compete with all of the national museums in Ottawa or even Washington, D.C. The Sobey’s family art collection currently on display on the 3rd floor is beautiful examples of Canadian Art!!!! This is a must see location in St.John’s. The views of the harbour are fantastic.
Great museum and a great layout. One of the better museums I’ve been too. They also had the Sobey’s personal art collection on display. It was incredible. Had lunch on the top floor and it was excellent. We had a view of the city looking out towards the ocean.
Great museum with a lot of exhibits - the rooms of each exhibit are quite large so give yourself a lot of time to walk through. They do have 2 observation decks for you to view the beautiful city. They have a kids area to enjoy books, activities, touch an iceberg and instruments.

JOHNSON GEO CENTRE REVIEWS
This was more interesting than I expected. The wall of Rock that is an exposed wall of the center is what Signal Hill is made up of. There are many aspects of the geography displayed in extremely interesting ways. There are also solar system and space exhibits here. It is worth a visit. There are also walking trails of historic interest.
What a great centre. Lots of explanations for the rocks and geology of Newfoundland and especially St. John's and Signal Hill. I learned a lot of things that spurred me into more research. It was especially interesting visiting after the trip to Signal Hill and The Cabot Tower. Well worth the visit.
Well laid out explanation of the geography of Newfoundland and Labrador. Well thought out displays, lots of pictures, and explanations. A well laid out exterior walk that has historical sites as well as geographic information sites and signs.

MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY BOTANICAL GARDEN REVIEWS
A great gem right in the heart of St John's. They have an artist exhibit where the artists have used doors to showcase their art with each telling a story behind the masterpieces. It was like a treasure hunt for the senses. A nice set of trails that link to one another and this is a definite must for the little ones and adults alike. Funded in part by Memorial University New Foundland the botanical gardens has a Cafe with great food and its a lovely way to spend a few hours out in nature with flora and fauna to soothe the senses.
My family and I had an amazing experience at the Merry and Bright Festival. Well planned, organized and the displays were amazing. There were even a small group singing Christmas Carol's. Special thanks to the staff and volunteers.
Gorgeous place for all flowers lovers like me. Nice trails and lovely spots to rest near the pond. Absolutely highly recommended place to visit in St.John's.
