“Musee De Welland Museum focuses on the history of Welland and Pelham. Visitors can learn about life during WWI from the soldiers' perspective or see reptiles in the interactive show. The museum aims to offer information and programs about the heritage of Welland, Pelham, and the region for current and future generations. Their travelling education collection helps museum staff provide engaging talks and presentations to students of all ages. The museum strives to grow with the community, offering knowledge and programs about local heritage. The museum provides a ramp to the front entrance. All 3 floors of the museum are accessible by elevator, and one fully accessible washroom is located on the lower level.

2025 Update: Musee De Welland Museum is a familiar standby for historical exhibits about the community, plus interactive displays for kids. You can discover the military history of Niagara in this captivating and timely exhibit. Featured events include the War of 1812, the Fenian Raids, WWI and WWII. The Museum is free to visit.”

“2025 Update: Welland International Flatwater Centre is a current canoeing, kayaking and rowing facility. It was used for the 2013 ICF Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships and the 2015 Pan American Games. The facility was renovated in 2013, before the U23 championships began. Welland International Flatwater Centre was featured on Season 9, Episode 6 of The Amazing Race Canada. The facility has hosted many competitions in many sports, among them canoeing, open water swimming and dragon boat racing. After the game, the facility reverted to a public use canal. The facility was the host site for the 2018 Canoe Polo World Championships.”

MUSEE DE WELLAND MUSEUM REVIEWS

The building is a historic Carnegie Library that now serves as the Welland Museum. Very informative displays, friendly helpful staff and things for kids to enjoy. I highly recommend. We also took the downtown walking tour and loved it.

Loved the Welland Museum for my son's birthday party. They really went above and beyond. They planned out fun games and activities related to our Pokémon theme keeping the kids engaged and active. Would highly recommend a visit or birthday here. There is lots to learn about and see.

Wow! What a friendly museum. From their Web site offerings, I contacted to ask about historical information from the 1940s, and they responded in less than one day. How kind!

Just a typical Canadian arena.. Always great staff, and always cold! But it's worth it to see the smiles on the children's faces playing hockey..

Free skating for March break. It was great, it's all sectioned off young kids, ringette, and free skating plus free food for the little ones. Had a wonderful day with my son!

All my kids grew up playing Hockey in this arena... What great food at the Cantene... Amazing Fries and Gene sharpens skates like no other...

WELLAND INTERNATIONAL FLATWATER CENTRE REVIEWS

The Welland International Flatwater Centre (WIFC) is a premier flatwater facility in the heart of Niagara. It is set on 411 acres of parkland and 272 acres of water and combines international-standard competitive watersports facilities with recreational and social opportunities. This is an excellent place to engage in boating, kayaking, swimming, and fishing, both recreational and competitive. The entire premises is very up-to-date and modern, very well maintained and first class. There are walking trails as well which allow one to enjoy the ambience. In addition, there is plenty of spectators seating available for those who wish to view the sports. There’s also free parking available as well as clean restrooms. Great place overall – I highly recommend!
