The park has an ideal natural landscape and is a favourite local spot, drawing visitors and residents for scenic walks along the waterfront. Visitors can enjoy walking or cycling on a 2 km boardwalk on the beautiful shores of Lake Ramsey. Bell Park hosts cultural events and annual festivals. “DJ Hancock Memorial Park is one of the popular public parks in Sudbury, ON. This park has a great playground for both adults and kids. DJ Hancock Memorial Park includes a splash pad, beautiful landscaping, adult exercise machines, and a grand slide structure. In this park, ample parking and bathrooms are available. There are so many things to do there, from sliding to swinging to exercising and playing in the splash park. They have a great, clean playground, and this park is surrounded by a huge play structure with lots of slides, a really nice splash pad, a few swings and a workout area.

2025 Update: DJ Hancock Memorial Park offers visitors a place to reflect and connect with nature. The park has a wheelchair-accessible entrance.”

BELL PARK REVIEWS

I recently visited Bell Park, and it was a refreshing and delightful experience. The park is beautifully maintained with lush green spaces and a variety of vibrant flowers. It's an Ideal spot for a relaxing walk, family outing or even a morning jog. Playground: The playground is well-equipped and safe, making it perfect for kids. Picnic area: There are plenty of benches and picnic areas, allowing visitors to comfortably enjoy the serene environment.

A very nice spot next to Ramsey Lake especially the gazebo. That’s the only point we could touch during our limited time out in the area but it was beautiful. The boardwalk would be beautiful as we could see the inflatable water park and boats. There’s lots to do in the area during the day.

Playground: Très bel endroit pour amuser les enfants. Pleins de jeux.

Such a beautiful park! Water fountain & play ground for the little kids or plenty of benches & grass for the big kids to relax and enjoy the day! Playground: There's a little jungle gym with a couple of different sized slides for your little ones and it also has a couple of different sized ladders for them to climb up onto the play structure! There's also a small rocking boat & a bigger front part of a boat for them to use their imagination while playing and of course, throughout the hot summer months, there is also the infamous water fountain for them to cool down. Dog-friendliness: It's not a dog park but people do bring their dogs there to run around or just to chill out & relax with them. Picnic area: There is plenty of picnic tables set up around the park.

Was good. There were people there sharing God's word and the love of Jesus along with music all day. Met some very interesting people. I'm glad I went. Keep on loving on those in need, Sudbury. Jesus said as you do this to the least, you have done this to me. Feed the hungry, clothe the poor, heal the sick. Go Jesus Go! Go Believers Go, keep on for Jesus.

This park is beautiful in the heart of downtown. Been here severally and enjoyed my quiet time without any incident. There are no tents for the homeless individuals as before in this park.

DJ HANCOCK MEMORIAL PARK REVIEWS

We love this spot. Playground and splash pad plus that outdoor workout equipment for adults. Playground: Big enough to keep the kids happy. Restrooms: Portapotty. Dog-friendliness: Dogs on a lease and keep off of playground gravel. Picnic area: Lots of grass around and a few trees for shade. Some benches.

This park has become our new stop every time we drive through Sudbury. We often travel from Toronto to Sault Ste Marie and we're in need of a halfway point to have our kid play and burn energy. This Park featuring a great play area and a splash pad was our answer.

Cute little splash pad and park. Our toddler loves it here! Playground: Would not recommend for under 3 as it has a pretty big fall hazard.
