The centre has high-quality workout equipment, an indoor track, cardio equipment, and a sauna. The centre offers pool space and room rentals, including access to indoor pools. Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex rentals are available for schools, groups, clubs, and individuals. The centre is limited in maintaining physical distancing guidelines and following provincial guidelines. The Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex offers free admission for children under two years old.

2025 Update: The facility also features an outdoor, quarter-mile Speed Skating Oval. There is a 50-metre competitive pool along with 1, 3, and 5-metre diving boards and a 7-lane, 25-metre lap pool. This centre frequently hosts aquatics and speed skating events. The centre is wheelchair accessible.”

“Gateway Recreation Centre has been a cherished hub for North East Winnipeg families for over five decades. The centre consists of two year-round indoor rinks, two outdoor hockey rinks, one indoor soccer pitch, four mini soccer fields, three regulation soccer fields, seven ball diamonds, two outdoor asphalt hockey pens, as well as a banquet hall, a canteen, a youth and adult activity centre, and a summer outdoor splash pad and play structure. There is parking for 309 vehicles, and the centre also has wheelchair accessibility. Gateway Recreation Centre is located 15 minutes from downtown and within a short distance of the perimeter highway.

“2025 Update: Bronx Park Community Centre facility provides programming to the Kildonan and Elmwood areas. The 25,000 square foot facility includes a gymnasium, multi-purpose room, classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, a computer lab and creative arts labs. Bronx Park Community Centre also hosts two outdoor hockey rinks, a family rink , and an outdoor playground structure. The centre offers many spaces for rent at a reasonable cost. Bronx Park Community Centre offers a variety of programs and sports registration, including Bingo, Soccer and Hockey Programs, Woodshop classes and Woodshop drop-in and a Farmer's Market from June to September. Their outdoor ice rinks are generally open from December to late March, weather permitting.”

CINDY KLASSEN RECREATION COMPLEX REVIEWS

This pool is one of the best Wpg pools I've found for lap swimming. They usually have three to five lanes designated for lap swimmers, so you almost never have to share a lane with more than one person. This has never been my neighbourhood pool, but I'll drive the extra distance for more lane space. Also, the change rooms are clean and have plenty of changing stalls with proper doors.

This gym/recreation centre has everything you need in a gym. What attracted me there was the indoor race track and best of all you dont have to wait to use equipments cause there's enough to go round. It has an indoor swimming and library downstairs. Membership is quite flexible as you pay like 7 bucks for daily access to use all the facilities if you don't want to get full membership.

The facility was clean and well organized the staff were friendly the pool area was a little bit dated but very well maintained overall a great fitness facility.

GATEWAY RECREATION CENTRE REVIEWS

This is a big recreational centre I take my kids to. We go there to play with the water and also just chill and enjoy the fresh air. There are other things one can benefit from the centre, like signing in to activities I guess, but my kids are still so little. So we only go there for the swings, slides and water sprinkles.

My first here and I have to say I was loving how cold it was inside by the rinks ... a little warm by the food stand and the metal benches were bum numbing otherwise I was there to enjoy the last games of the tournament - had a blast! All the kids were amazing and so talented.

Real nice facility for this area of winnipeg. My kids first time there for stick and puck and camps. Not as flashy as the new rinks in North Dakota, but bigger, friendlier and a soccer pitch! A+.

Its location within the city is absolute perfection — easy to get to, well-laid out, and surrounded by a vibrant neighborhood that feels safe, welcoming, and connected. It’s a place where you don’t just show up — you feel like you belong. The grounds in front and behind the center are a dream for families. The playground is a hit with the kids, the splash pad is a summer favorite, and there's always a soccer ball or basketball game going on. Whether it’s an afternoon of running around with the kids or a calm evening stroll, there’s something here for everyone. It’s more than just a building — it’s a true community space, and we’re lucky to have it. If you haven’t spent time at Bronx Park yet, you’re missing out on one of Winnipeg’s hidden gems.

Dropped off some used clothing at the bin for the Canadian Diabetes Society. While there I went to the Bronx Playground. I used their slide... Imagine a 71 year old man using the slide... I haven't had so much fun in years!!!

Great place for the Winnipeg Church of Christ (www.wcoc.ca) to meet at 10am on Sundays. Richard and his staff are wonderful. Thank you.
