APPLEWOOD RETIREMENT RESIDENCE REVIEWS

Most importantly, I came in using a wheelchair and left using only a walker. I am now able to be independent at home again, which means so much to me. My stay gave me the time and space to focus on getting better. I enjoyed walking around, participating in exercise classes, and even “exercising my arms” at Bingo. I also loved watching movies on the big screen and spending time by the bright windows watching the birds.

All of my interactions were positive. I even had the unexpected joy of reconnecting with old friends, which made my stay even more special.

I had a truly lovely experience during my stay at Applewood. I came for a two-month respite stay, and from the beginning, the staff were incredibly friendly, as were my fellow residents.

Chartwell Jackson Creek Retirement Residence is quintessential if you are wanting a wide variety of things to do and activities to indulge yourself in as a resident, perfect for those who have given a lot and deserve to be pampered in their retirement. The staff here are exceptionally professional, understanding and caring. I have worked at Chartwell Jackson Creek for over two years and loved that I was able to grow within the field of work and also maintain wonderful, professional relationships with the staff, residents and their families. Over the years, I have met or heard of a number of residents who have been here for several years -- that tell me they thrive and enjoy their lives here. It is a smaller retirement community which allows ample opportunity for residents to create friendships with other residents than most surrounding residences and receive the best care from staff. You can tell residents are pleased with life here, and there’s a welcoming warmth you can feel as soon as you enter the building.

Beautiful facility. Very peaceful and inviting atmosphere, especially the outdoor patio. Staff seem very friendly, professional and competent. Lots of parking.

Jackson Creek is a beautiful Retirement Home .It has a very warm inviting feel. Staff are kind and caring always making the Residents feel important. A great place to call home.

Mom explored multiple options before deciding that Sherbrooke Heights best aligned with her preferences and lifestyle. Now more than a decade later, she happily refers to it as her "home". As her family, we continue to be impressed by the community's culture, atmosphere, cleanliness, attentiveness, respect and the genuine care shown by both staff and residents.

I have known the team and residents at Sherbrooke Heights for 4+ years now. They are all hard working, caring, patient, energetic and welcoming! If my parents lived in Peterborough I would move them into Sherbrooke in a heartbeat! Absolutely amazing at what they do! Highly recommend.

Sherbrooke Heights in Peterborough is an amazing residence for Seniors. From the moment we reached out, they provided us with support to find the perfect unit. A wide variety of activities are offered throughout the week, plus the staff know each and every resident personally and touch base with them regularly. The dining room provides delicious meals, with a variety of options in the event that a resident isn’t keen on the main being offered. Such a wonderful, friendly place for our loved ones to live.
