"Big Star Sandwich Co. is operated by Clint Bondzuk. They start sandwich preparation with a fresh rustic Filone, like a cross between a ciabatta and a baguette. They use homemade sauce on the Filone, which has excellent sauce absorption and retention, maximizing the flavour of their dishes. They use slow-roasted meat cooked at home for 13 hours. The meat includes hand-pulled turkey breast, thigh, and authentic corned beef. Their sandwiches are topped with cheeses, freshly sliced veggies, and hickory sticks. Wow for a hearty and filling sandwich - you need to order from big star! I got the Number 27 - roast beef, provolone, crispy onions, lettuce, tomato, onions, sriracha mayonnaise and garlic aioli and it did not disappoint. I can’t speak for the interior or service as someone else picked up my food but wow was it delicious! It was difficult choosing which one to get as the menu is quite expansive but I like how they section it off by types (roast beef/turkey/vegetarian/deli cuts/pork/etc). Easily one of my favourite subs.

We were coming home after being out all day and thought this would be a good way to get dinner organized. We phoned ahead and picked up some sandwiches on the way home. I ordered the 22 which was a spicy pulled pork sandwich with habanero Jack cheese, crispy onions, pepperoncini, chipotle mayo and bbq sauce.

It was my first time at this sandwich place, very clean, simple but nicely decorated and designed. Very friendly and informative employees, I asked for suggestions which sandwich to choose, and after I got #27 amazingly delicious, fresh ingredients, chipotle sauce, which gives you a nice spicy flavor, and crunchiness from crispy onions took to another level of awesomeness. Definitely should try.

I had a fantastic experience at this store! The staff khushbu and akal is incredibly nice and helpful. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me with warm smiles and were ready to assist with any questions I had. They went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for and provided excellent recommendations. Their friendly and professional demeanor made my shopping experience enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for great customer service.

My wife and I had lunch here. The staff was great! We used our coupon from airmiles and the staff (Akal) was patient with us to redeem the coupon. We ordered the rice wrap and it was delicious! She gave us extra guacamole without charge. We had a great time here!!.

Did a late night run to Subway today. So grateful that it’s one of the few places around here with late hours. Special shout out to Jasleen for the delicious sandwich and great service!.

Had a great experience at Firehouse Subs! The sandwiches were fresh, loaded with quality ingredients, and packed with flavor. The bread was soft, the portions were generous, and everything was made exactly as ordered. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and kept the restaurant clean and organized.

Everytime i go the staff are super nice, despite sometimes being absolutely flooded with orders. Probably more staff at times required. Raman was super sweet.

Great experience at Firehouse Subs Burnaby Akimbo! Raman was a great staff member and made the visit pleasant. I’d happily come back.
