“Big Fish & Open Range is the ultimate place to celebrate life’s great occasions or enjoy the everyday pleasures of great food and drink in a timeless and relaxed environment. They serve up the very best meat, game, and freshest seafood. Originating as Big Fish in 2005, the original Renfrew location offered a unique dockside-style service to Calgarians. They strived to stay on top of the latest seafood trends by introducing a raw oyster bar while taking pride in being an Ocean Wise Partner. In 2007, Open Range opened next door, offering a premier steakhouse with a variety of beef, pork, and game meats cut and prepared in an exciting array of flavours. In 2020, the vision of Big Fish & Open Range came to be after finding success in merging the restaurant menus and providing an exquisite surf and turf experience. Customers can now order a lobster tail with their elk steak or add bone marrow to the Manitoba Walleye; the options are endless. Since then, the restaurant has grown to two locations in Calgary, Renfrew and Marda Loop. Both locations serve weekday lunch and weekend brunch along with their nightly dinner service. In addition, they feature a handcrafted cocktail menu, daily happy hour and weekly specials with BOGO Oysters on Mondays and 1/2-price wine on Wednesdays.

RED LOBSTER CALGARY REVIEWS

We ate here with a child who has a serious salmon allergy. The staff were all very attentive to our needs and the manager came and talked to us about which foods could have cross contamination with salmon and which would be safe. We really appreciated the care and concern. We had an incident free evening and we are grateful for the wonderful service we received. Delicious food! Would recommend.

Thought we'd hit Red Lobster in case they were leaving this plane. I got a ridiculously silly, but incredibly tasty drink and my wife had a tequila flight that led to an even better evening. We had the "Meal for Two", and it was exquisite! So very delicious, and really, a bargain for what you get. Huge kudos to our very lovely server, Nada, for being attentive and funny. What a gem. Forget what the haters say about Red Lobster, it's great food and a very nice experience. People were having birthdays and grad dinners, and it was nothing but delight.

We went for my wife's birthday and had an excellent experience. Ana our server was absolutely outstanding. She promptly greeted us, confirmed our menu knowledge, and was positive and outgoing. She remained attentive throughout the evening ensuring drinks were never empty and the food was hot. Probably one of the best waitresses we have ever had. We are basing our experience on 5 star restuarant and high-end cruise dining experiences.

BIG FISH & OPEN RANGE REVIEWS

Came with a friend during YYC EXP. The Soft Shell Crab Club what what drew me in. That and everything else as part of the set menu was delicious. From the Seafood Chowder, White Chocolate Goat Cheesecake, and Maple Pecan Pie to what I came for was very enjoyable. The server was pleasant and the restaurant has a nice ambiance with plenty of light flooding in which I like. Suggest checking this restaurant out if looking for some seafood for dinner.

Delicious and fresh ingredients! Service and staff were awesome and very professional. We were there tonight for the set menu 3 course dinner - it was SO good! We will definitely be back to try items off their regular menu. Highly, highly recommend.

Walk into a perfect intimate room with impeccable service two gentlemen will handle it all. We started with warm oysters and got the feature sirloin and boar chop so savoury and sweet worth every bite.

The scallops sliders are simply the best!m, though you only get them during happy hours, so make sure you give them a try. Oysters and fish tacos are also great. Very fresh, tasty and a nice service. Beer selection is also good, and it’s just $5 during happy hour. Totally recommended.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Fish was very fresh and I grew up on the east coast, so I know what fish should taste like. The sliders were also super delicious and juicy.

The steak frites was mediocre BUT… The seafood and service was 10/10! Our waiter Yarik was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable with the items on the menu. He recommended a few different kind of oysters, all which were delicious. Their in house sauces with the oysters are unique and really tasty. Also, the clams in green curry sauce are some of the best I’ve had in Calgary. The atmosphere at Rodney’s is also a unique experience in Calgary. It made me feel like I was back home on the east coast. Thanks for having us.
