The Whalesbone Elgin Street

Very good flash fried calamari, we had the hot platter and it was one of the better ones we have had in the city. The atmosphere is more of a a chill vibe. He found that the lobster sandwiches the muscles and the fish cake was so so, the shrimp and scallops were phenomenal. Bread and butter tasted like croissant so good.

First time visiting and it did not disappoint! Loved the atmosphere and the service was great. Started with fresh oysters and the roasted bone marrow. Oysters came with a few different sauces which was fun and different from the usual just mignonette option - was also 2 bucks a shuck Sunday! Roasted bone marrow was perfect, great flavour. The scallop and pork belly main was even better than expected everything perfectly complimented each other and it was well portioned.

A beautifully appointed restaurant with an awesome eclectic decor. Incredible seafood and meat selection. Amazing staff. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced better servers…. They were always extremely attentive and were always keeping an eye not only on the patrons but on each other. It was like watching friends just want to care for each other. It was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the amazing dishes. It was an incredible experience that we are already looking forward to repeat. Kudos to Kaitlin and Nicole for taking extra care of us.
