We had an absolutely lovely dinner on the patio. I started off with a refreshing bourbon renewal cocktail. They have an absolutely extensive wine list with a great selection of interesting wines. My wife and I split a salad (The beet and quinoa salad) which was perfect size for each of us. I had the tenderloin with portobello mushroom that was cooked to perfection. My wife had the seafood trio and each one was delicious in their own way and so much fish. We had a lovely lunch the next day. We went with the lava cake dessert and swapped out the vanilla ice cream with the chocolate ice cream (I'm a real chocoholic). It definitely left me with a chocolate buzz and was a lot of food.

I recently dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the luxurious ambiance reminiscent of Europe. The dish I ordered, the steak, was impeccably prepared – cooked to perfection without being overdone. The wine selection lived up to my expectations, complementing the meal wonderfully. Moreover, the service provided by the respectful and attentive staff truly enhanced the overall dining experience. I highly recommend for anyone seeking an exquisite dining experience.

The 529 is the best steakhouse in Canada. The experience is phenomenal, the staff is exceptional and the food is otherworldly. If you are passing through Winnipeg you MUST stop by and eat here. Words cannot portray the experience you have at the 529. I want to personally thank Marnie for being an amazing, informative and hospitable waitress.

THE KEG STEAKHOUSE + BAR SOUTHSIDE REVIEWS

Great first experience at The Keg. Our server was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu when we asked any questions. We really enjoyed the shrimp cocktail (not pictured), there were 5 good sized shrimp, and they were very fresh tasting for a restaurant in the Prairies. The prime rib was full of flavor, and I was happy that the roasted vegetables on the side were cooked perfectly. I find at some restaurants, some vegetables will be overcooked or some not cooked enough - that was not the case here. Lastly I highly recommend trying the patio on a nice evening, but inside the restaurant looked nice too.

Tonight we ordered takeout. We started off with appetizers: calamari and stuffed mushrooms. For the entrees my hubby chose the prime rib and I had the sirloin both medium rare. The meals were hit and fresh. My steak and the prime rib were done just right. I loved the calamari. The dips were so tasty especially the sweet chili one. I loved the salty, sweet, heat combination. We will definitely order take out again. Well done, Keg chefs! Thank you for a great meal.

Went for my birthday and it was awesome as usual. Never had a bad meal here. Steak was perfect and lobster was out of this world. Not to mention the awesome desert.

Honestly this restaurant was amazing. One of the exceedingly rare dining experiences where my wife and I don't say that we could have done a better job at any point in the meal. They were very friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel special and celebrate our Anniversary. Brought us a complimentary appetizer and glasses of bubbly. My wife took a bite of her prime rib and said out loud that the chef must have a very happy wife at home. Best dining experience we have had in a very long time. Highly recommend a visit to everyone. 10/10.

We just had a reservation for my Daughters Birthday Celebration, all her guests were very happy with the food and service. We had the room that can accommodate 14 people and had the private dining room for at least 3 hours. Would definitely recommend it.

First time there for happy hour, server was sweet, friendly and engaging. Drinks were amazing. Not many places make the old fashioned good but I'm amazed and enjoyed my drinks. The food was delicious, packed with flavor, we had a great time there and will go back again for happy hour and would love to explore the menu more. The atmosphere was nice and filled with energy.
