3 Best Urologists in Richmond, BC

I was so nervous at first, Dr. Poon’s experience was amazing. I’m not from the area so I had to travel to see him for a consultation, he was extremely personable and knowledgeable, making a stressful situation much easier. He gave me names and recommendations for doctors in my area to see (trying to save me money and travel). After considering all my options I decided I still wanted to see him, his staff was great scheduling me an appointment quickly and working with my schedule. They made the appointment a great date and time allowing me to still travel home the same day. If I wanted. The surgery went great, it was quick and painless. The staff that helped with the surgery were amazing too, I would definitely recommend dr Poon to anyone.

As a family physician who has referred many patients to Dr. Poon, I have heard nothing but great praise and gratitude from my patients who have seen him. They all tell me that Dr Poon is a knowledgeable, kind and considerate physician. I concur with them. My patients are very candid to me and provide accurate feedback to me about the specialists they have seen. The same individual who has written many negative, insulting comments about him likely needs some psychiatric help. I am shocked that this website permits such threatening, slanderous comments from someone who obviously has some serious mental health issues. Dr. C.

Dr. Poon is a wonderful physician and person. I always feel respected by him and he is willing to collaborate with his patients, while also providing the expertise to make you feel like you are in good hands. Definitely one of the BEST physicians out there. Thank you for everything.

I have no complaints about Dr K. Hennessey. She is knowledgeable, helpful and follow sup personally with her patients, although she is usually 10-15 minutes late but this is due to the backlog! However I have an issue with the Asian lady who is on the telephone and sometimes takes care of the appointments. She is borderline rude and needs to upgrade her phone skills as well as her english. She should be sent on a course(s) to learn those she sounds OK when meeting her in person. She needs to remember that patients = clients!

I saw Dr. Hennessy a few years back & I found her excellent in every way. I was very pleased with her care, concern and knowledge. She was very thorough in her investigations. I could not say one negative thing about her. My husband saw her years later at VGH for kidney stone removal by laser & he commented how impressed he was with her too. Their office is very busy so not everyone may be happy about that, but the staff are excellent at appointment reminders & about test appointments etc. Office staff seem very organized for such a busy office & have to be.

Dr. Hennessey is one of the best doctor's I've ever had. She patiently answers any question, even the silly ones, and she does whatever she can to put the patient at ease. I am so happy to have her as my urologist.
