JULIEN'S PATISSERIE BAKERY & CAFE REVIEWS
We went to Julien's and we loved it! They have lots of desserts. It is difficult to choose which one you will take home. We bought the White Sourdough bread and an apple pie. The bread is very soft and the crunch crust is delicious! The apple pie has plenty of tasting, the apples are very caramelized, and crunch crust! Wow! Sorry, we didn't have enough time to take the pictures for the apple pie... we ate too fast... It was a delightful experience. I really recommend them.
I loved this little bakery, big variety of bakery items and sandwiches. Nice coffee and tea options. Quaint inside and a nice small patio outside. The staff was very polite and friendly.
The staff and selection were amazing. The coffee and food were great. The inside of the shop was cozy and easy to get around.

LE FRENCH FIX PÂTISSERIE REVIEWS
As close to perfection as you can get in life. The croissant is the best we have had in North America, possibly even Europe. We also had a pain au chocolat and the chocolate was still soft inside. The vanilla canele was moist and fluffy. We got soy milk iced lattes and they were a dream. We sat at the only 2 seats in front of an open window of flowers in the main floor (more seating upstairs). We would have gone back for macarons but when we were done the line was out the door. A reason to come back to Halifax.
Wonderful little find near the Convention Centre. Real French feel…great coffees and eats. The canelé came warmed and had a beautiful soft centre. Macaroons are well priced and made in the Parisian style - delicious. Croissant delicious. Good value..
This is such a cute little cafe. I had a latte and mocha which were both really good. I also had a vanilla and chocolate caneles which were not that good, didn’t taste like it was made fresh. The barista was really nice and the seating area was colourful.

GINGERBREAD HAUS BAKERY REVIEWS
Outstanding! I had been disappointed by several “bakeries” along the Cabot Trail. They left me wanting baked goods when we got back in Halifax. And the Gingerbread Haus delivered! What an amazing selection they had. After our first visit, we immediately returned for more. I had the almond ring on our walk through the Point Pleasant park and it held up the whole way. See the pics for prices and products. Service was pleasant. Staff behind the counter could describe each item in detail. The only downside was that they aren’t open until 9am. Well worth the wait. You must visit this bakery if you are in the area!
Had a tasty cookie and chocolate croissant for the road at this cute bakery. Took some coffee's with us as well, just normal brew, nothing fancy. Wish I could've tried the bread they had and some other european treats. This place smelled amazing, and the service was warm and welcoming.
The best Italian sourdough bread in the city! They have tons of sweet treats as well from classic gingerbread cookies to cream horns. My favourite is their very reasonably priced & giant cinnamon buns. I highly recommend Gingerbread Haus! Oh! They also have cakes and coffee!
